I have a friend whom was lucky enough to be attached to a project where they got put through the ‘press junket’.

Relatively recently moved from the LB area.

Former resident of Long Beach, the Grand Prix there is a nightmare for residents of the area - and that one’s fairly contained to a mostly separate tourist section.

The Bond movies were famous for multiple foreign locations (frequently shot on location), massive stunt scenes involving dozens of stunt perfomers, and usually contained a “one time only” shoot at the end where they’d take the large and elaborate villain’s lair and blow it up.

Whatever else is going on, I’m wondering if Disney’s signing on to the “The Marvels was always going to fail” storyline is them trying to cover for a bigger turkey.

So asshole VC moron shutters creative projects because he can’t understand anything other than ‘me want money’?

The biggest effect is how much of the store is under lock and key. If it’s a high theft area, they lock it up.

The WalMart nearest me is plagued by a longterm group of persistent homeless encampments in the area and is fairly blatantly beset by theft. I’ve had several times when I’ve been forced to use the self checkouts because they haven’t staffed any of the regular registers. Admittedly they only open maybe three of the

Jezebel’s being shuttered completely with the added threat of

One step forward, etc. RIP Jezebel and a selection of other staff/sites TBD.

Spanfeller additionally announced Thursday that G/O would undergo broader restructuring that will result in layoffs.”

The drained color scheme etc. have done a workman’s job taking this off the list of things I want to view. Little to nothing of worth came out of the ‘70s, I can’t understand the desire to keep reliving them in film form.

I will say I wasn’t expecting the announcements to get bumped by news of Jezebel getting suddenly shuttered, but I’ve seen two aggregators and CNN where it’s happening.

Hmm.

It’s a lot of work taking a completely AI generated performer and making them ‘famous’ enough to make blockbusters with them.

Given that he took a short story and strung it out to (checks interweb) 97 minutes in a film that feels like it should have been a half hour Twilight Zone episode?

Mellow piano gonna make you jump, jump.

It’s the Fox News mentality. One migrant from Central America murders someone, therefor all migrants are murderers.

Sadly I’m pretty sure the buckets of money and stresses of handling the coding/maintenance for WOC are the only focuses left.

“Compressed cycle” is a good guess on a lot of this.
