Considering the wide ranging offended senses of the law firm behind most of (if not all of) these suits, I’m expecting there to be suits based on :

It’s a highly individualized line. “Screw canon” means sequels shouldn’t bother with the movies that created them and larger storytelling between different projects should just be ignored.

Only at the level of say, going to a website known for frequently posting ‘spoiler’ content and being upset at the content including spoilers.

Nothing against either of MacFarlane’s shows, but I think for the most part they had his name on them, and people just stopped thinking about them further. They haven’t really had any major controversial moments or press coverage that I’ve ever seen that would put the behind-the-scenes stuff out front.

I think there’s a fundemental disconnect when it comes to this sort of thing and what players want.
