Fun fact: Smallville was originally developed as a young Bruce Wayne series but the WB got scared and changed the focus. As a result, the writer took home royalties for every episode of Smallville aired since his idea and work were abandoned after development.
In terms of marketing and awareness BlerDCon had plenty of hype among the cosplayers I hang out with here in the DC area and so far as I could see everyone felt welcomed. I did see a greater turnout of black nerds here than I’ve seen at Dragon Con, Awesome Con and Anime USA but that was a wonderful thing because…
It’s an amazing event. I wasn’t able to go last year due to moving states but this year I hit it up on Friday and Saturday and loved it. Next year I’m getting a room at the hotel so I don’t have to commute in each day.
You’re welcome. Enjoy.
I was the same. Loved The Raid when it came out but for some reason never got around to seeing 2 until Monday night. Yes, it’s worth checking out. The longer run-time might be why reviews are mixed but they open up the world and expand on the characters as a result.
Supergirl’s Earth.
I think Cassie/Stature is confirmed for Avengers 4 since we know time travel is a story element used in the film. Plus they cast an actress to play her in Emma Fuhrmann.
Remember Janet’s line to Scott to watch out for time vortexes as well as the tardigrades? I’m betting Scott will figure something out eventually.
Bear in mind that Ant-Man’s development predated Iron Man’s so yes Edgar Wright’s film suffers the “villain has the same technology as the hero” aspect that many of the early Marvel films had. Peyton Reed inherited that when he took over after Wright’s dismissal and made sure to change that for this movie.
Oh, go ahead and take your star! You’ve earned it!
I think the main gripes are the poorly conceived/rushed Nat and Bruce romance and the fact that the film feels like a trailer for all of the films coming after it. On my 2nd viewing I did enjoy it more.
*crickets*
David Harewood is still part of the cast for next season until we hear otherwise. Jeremy’s recurring and Chris Wood and Odette Annable are off of the show until further notice.
Yeah, Optimus turning into a Decepticon murderer in Revenge of the Fallen soured me on his portrayal going forward.
Yep. That’s how it is here in the DC/Va/Md area. We have talented photographers and cosplayers who work together and no money is exchanged. TFP is a good system.
Original Beyond Good & Evil 2 footage
Yeah, unfortunately. The game footage from 2009 looked good. Shame that they ditched it.

Good one! Take your star!
Looks a little bit like Javik from Mass Effect 3.
Kinda like how The Walking Dead teased Negan’s arrival and cast deaths and then made everyone wait until the following season premiere to see who died? Yeah, hate storytelling like that.
Misfits of Science was great!
