It gets better. I'd say give it another 2-3 episodes and see how you fare. If you survived Mad Men (I've watched the pilot twice and still can't understand why people like this show. Bad enough that the first season was gifted to me a few years ago), then you can definitely tough it through Game of Thrones.

Now playing

Joshua, you've seen Superman's "world of cardboard" speech from Justice League Unlimited, haven't you? If not then I think you'll enjoy this.

Yeah, I know. He can't catch a break after what he did to Buffy's mom, Fred, Wesley, Wash and Book. Sigh. :-) (oh and I'm not caught up on season 2 of Dollhouse so if he did more killing of beloved characters there, please don't spoil it for me).

Whedon won't kill off Tony Stark. It'll be Kevin Feige's call if/when/ohgodno that happens.

I doubt it'll be Joss' decision if they decide to kill Stark off. Likely it'll be Kevin Feige who, as you may recall, had the idea to "down" Agent Coulson in The Avengers. Naturally, fans were pissed at Joss until he explained that it wasn't his call.

Agreed! When this season ends the Internet is going to explode even harder than it did when season 1's penultimate episode ended. Book 3 is just *THAT* good. I can't wait to see everyone freak out. :-)

Ha, sorta. No wires or FX. Just a stunt.

Esther, what Roy did was a basically a wall run up and off of those boards followed by a simple vault and then a cat hang before dropping off of the fence.

Given the show's grounding in reality, I'm guessing they'll go with some kind of technology-based device to allow for this. Anyhow, I don't think it'll be any time soon. Maybe later on in the 2nd season?

"Get from point A to Point B. No distractions, nothing that could get you into trouble." You just described Parkour. Bravo.

No problem! :-)

Here:

Nope, that's not Robin Shou. It's Brian Tee playing Liu Kang for his debut in the series. Every actor from season 1, with the exception of Ian Anthony Dale who is back as Scorpion, has been replaced.

I always saw Angela Bassett in the role when reading the series back in the late 80s and early 90s. Halle was indeed the worst casting for the character.

Wow, I think I had those issues as a kid with Jameson transforming. Thanks for the flashback, Argh.

^^^Oh, bravo. Well done, Chris!

roman727, thank you! For all of the hate, snark and criticism that this show generates here in the comments after Esther's recaps, I'm glad someone else sees the show the way that I do.

Only in the X3. She was played by two different actresses in Singer's X-Men movies and both were non-speaking roles.

Agreed. He's the most compelling to watch.

Wow. *applause* That was perfect, ZeroX836.
