Except the gas-version of the new A3 in the US a sedan, so ... no. I drive an 08 A3. Yes, it’s basically a GTI except totally different exterior and interior. Same engine? Yes. Same transmission? Yes. But other than that, there are notable differences.

I agree. "Warming up the car" is a leftover practice from when most cars had carburetors. Now, you're just wasting fuel.
