I’m all over the place. I’ve been a happy station wagon owner for six years now, but leaning towards truck or truck-adjacent. I’ve been excited about all the Ford truck launches the past three years, from the relaunched Ranger in the US, the Bronco, the Lightning, and the Maverick.

I have one.  That stupid Ford chime, plus the track record of botched launches, and quality control issues.  I don’t know if I could come up with 100,000 reservations, but those are a few of mine.

But what IS the historical context of this car. No one knows. There is a rumor that is based on zero documented evidence, and disputed by the son of the man who owned it, that it was a gift from Hitler. That’s it.
