I mean, what is a modern SUV besides a minivan with smaller rear doors? Look at a Chevy Suburban vs Honda Odyssey. The ‘Burb can tow more at the expense of fuel burn and ride quality. Other than that, the experience is negligibly different.

It might make more difference on a truck, but one Dodge engineer once said the only reason they put disk brakes on the back of some of their cars was for looks and customer “impression”. There was more than enough braking capacity in drums (remember, the front typically does 60-70% of braking), so there often isn’t
