Popular theory on why dad didn’t turn around to shoo the kids out of the room:

FYI - that was almost certainly the nanny.

I really think that’s a nanny. I feel like a mom wouldn’t have been so frantic about it. But I’m just guessing.

Yeah, won’t matter. The people who believe every word Trump says basically are immune to facts and reason and independent thought.

Peanuts aren’t nuts, they’re legumes.

I’d be impressed in a driver who was paying not-enough attention to be relying entirely on Autopilot and yet who is able to regain control of the car so precisely and immediately that soon after impact with airbags in his face.

Yeah, if a human is driving that Tesla, the SUV in the other lane is toast.

Look at the way the car behaves after hitting the barrier. It sways, moves over and SNAPS to follow the new course of the road. That’s impressive. The autopilot system kept working after impact and appears to have kept the car rolling in the correct lane of traffic with the hazards on. Technology is awesome. Just, in

I’m the opposite; if you put your signal on, I’ll let you in (if it’s a legal merge/lane change) but if I can tell that you want to get over, but are unwilling to signal, I close that gap up tight.

Um, why? I don’t understand this logic. Turn signals indicate where you’re putting your vehicle next, this information is useful all the time to literally every person around you. Especially in rush hour when there are a shit ton of people around you.

Hey, not all white people. But, uh, these white people certainly do. Hate us or just don’t think enough of us to give us respect.

I was having this conversation with a few friends this morning. It’s almost impossible to pick just one, but I do think this is the most offensive thing anyone in his cabinet has said so far.

I wouldn’t limit to age, but more powerful, sportier car should require a special driving license. It doesn’t make sense that the same license that is valid to a Toyota Yaris is valid to a Ferrari 488 or a Porsche Turbo S.

A far easier approach is to NOT COUNT unbelted fatalities as auto fatalities. Instead create a new “idiot” category for them. Lumping them in with belted occupants unfairly penalizes the auto industry and leads to idiotic things like automatic seat belts.
