Jumper was a terrible movie, but I love watching it because it allows you to so easily imagine the fun you would have if you could teleport like that. The whole movie is full of middle school cool.

People are never purely good or purely bad. He had some certainly bad aspects to his personality, but that does not mean his good aspects did not exist.

X-Men Apocalypse cost 178M to make and earned 534M worldwide. It just doesn’t matter if it was a good movie or not. It made lots of money and it is a wise finanical decision to make several more. The overseas market likes X-Men a lot.

I hate Trump more than most, but this is just BS. The Trump that showed up at the White House is the same Trump that has been around for Decades. Any brain damage he has is not progressive or dementia, it is what he was born with.

My wife has switched us to margarine to save money. (which has worked, we go through a lot and the difference to the budget is large) But honestly this reminded me of what I am missing and I think I will be sad all weekend.

Funny thing, even though Nixon’s final actions felt like a betrayal of trust, and a real blow to the nation, we still felt like the government as a whole was trying to do their best. We all hated politicians for a bit, but still had faith in America and it’s government.

I used to teach this in high school, I bet it is a lot easier to teach today though. I used to have to explain “Newspeak” and now teachers can just say, “You know how Trump talks like a child and lies a lot?” “That’s Newspeak.”

Excellent comparison, this is very similar. One key difference though, we always thought the end of the world would come because of our enemies, not because of the dumpster fire from within. We still had someone to have faith in, during the cold war we thought that our government was working in our best interests.

This happened a few blocks away from me, and it is more messed up than you think.

It looks like fun, ridiculousness can be a lot of fun and make for a great watch if not a great movie.
