Alameda-Weehawken Burrito Tunnel:

Aw man, I was just going to post that...

My wife got a used, early-90s Ford Escort Wagon in college. There were a number of exciting moments in that car's life. For example, one time she went to work at... a school in La Canada, I believe? Anyway, it was on top of some hill, and like a two-hour commute from where were were living. One day she called me right

WHY, I ask you, is everyone talking about the pictures and not how funny the name "Hooydonk" is? It's in the first sentence, even. You don't even have to read the article, other than what showed up on the front page...

I want to know how I can get my wife to want one of these instead of the Sienna she currently always bugs me about.

Please be careful of cyclists on Skyline, they are tired from going up the hill and things going by super-quick are scary.

This is the only kind of fan boost I'm interested in

When my sister was in high school or so some people drove by and threw french fries at her. She was traumatized for quite some time afterward; I can only imagine what it would have been like had it been a whole potato.

WOOOO RAPTOR (call of the shadows)!

No Gumpert... :-(

The "when can I go again" feeling doesn't really go away, at least for a while... I just got my license on Sunday, after almost a year of lessons (waaaaay longer than I expected it to take), and I'm still spending a ridiculous amount of brain cycles thinking about what/when my next flight will be.

I don't understand this. The levers were supposed to be pulled at mach 1.4, but instead were pulled early at mach 1.0? So they were supposed to be pulled while accelerating? That seems unlikely. And I thought the problem happened because the levers were pulled while going too fast, causing structural failure, so again

My guess is that the rotating grill rotates venetian blind-style, since a normal grill is primarily characterized by being full of openings for air, and thus not especially bulletproof.

I don't see how it could be anything other than a TreviPark.

People often talk about how flying cars (as in "flying cars for everyone," not airplanes that can also be driven around) can never work for political reasons. That is, you're always still going to need a pilots license, along with the months of training and $$$ that is needed for that, and there's no way people are

It's weird how that one cloud goes by sideways in the second video...

When I lived in Hawaii there were some people who were caught in a flash flood and had to climb trees to escape.

I like the "DROF" badge on the front (or rather, back?)

Now playing

Another instance in which rally is better than other motorsports.
