I had one of these on my keys for a while, and it was fine. I found I would stab myself with the sharp bit more often than I expected when reaching into that pocket. I have an uncanny knack for minor personal injuries though, so... you know.

Bingo.  I think nearly every single slightly nerdy / shy teenager on the planet (or at least in western culture) has almost this exact story (without the revenge porn subplot).  Myself included.  Get out there, meet other people, realize this person that you built up isn’t the only person you will match up with, and

I get it, I had a bad experience with a used vw 20 years ago, but these stories are largely apocryphal. VWs reliability numbers are middle of the road at worst these days. He'd more likely than not be perfectly fine.

New GTI has a 6 year 72k full warranty.  Hard to argue with that.

I drive a '15 Mazda 3 in manual, and it's lots of fun. A friend of mine has the same car with automatic, and he's a former manual driver, and insists it's a good transmission and still fun....

Miata is a tough year round car in NH. Not impossible, but.... Tough.

Yeah it’s funny to me that in Drew’s mind supper is the formal one.  For me dinner is more formal, supper is like.... farm talk.

I mean, I may be biased, but... you know, pretty mountains and lakes and stuff. And no taxes! (Not just on booze. On anything).

Yeah, Rushmore is legit disappointing.  I liked the town around it (Keystone) better than the actual monument.  Badlands and other things in SD probably still worth visiting though.

This discussion would have been much shorter if you just said “I’m a germophobe.” Good luck!

Way less than filling a landfill with plastic.  It takes 3 seconds to rub a sponge across a fork, don't be lazy.

I don’t currently have a dishwasher (old house, small kitchen) but it’s also just two of us so it would not really be worth it.

The point is that if you “got” it presumably those things would make you happy not angry. I’m annoyed by most sounds and noises and don’t “get” ASMR in the least, but I’m jealous of those who do, and would absolutely trade daily annoyance for a tingle of pleasure 😁

I gotta say, maybe it’s because I’m no longer in my teens / 20's, but $160 seems like a bargain for a towed car retrieval.

Hi, are you me? :)

I always assumed the best Jeopardy players trust their recall, and even if they don’t specifically know the question when they ring in, they know that it’s in their brain and will bubble up by the time they ring in.  Kind of like being a good batter, you don’t know whether a pitch is hittable until it’s too late, you

This is the correct take.  Respond to your emails or deal with friendsly and then unfriendly prodding reminders.

That view of people who use the stall when a urinal is available is exactly why I always leave the door open if I’m forced to use the stall. It’s kind of a “see, everyone, I’m not afraid of urinals, it’s just that none were available...”

Cue everyone here saying they're the. 000002% who invest the saved money and pay off early
