Dude you seriously need to chill on your Civic.

The meaning of “remotely decent” is there problem. Of course you can get a decent car for 12k. Just like you can afford to move out of your parents house after high school if you have roommates. People are less willing to settle for those things. To their ultimate detriment.

It’s entirely possible Wendy’s is exactly the same and you just grew up and realized fast food is kind of gross?

Eh, priorities. Between the sitting in the tin can and the arguing with fucking feral animals trying to vie for overhead space (and standing in the aisle clogging up the works in the meantime).... ugh. Quality time vs quantity time, my blood pressure appreciates it.

OH absolutely, assigned seats only.

Look there have been a lot of exaggerated claims in response to my post but the idea that a bag has ever taken an HOUR to show up on the carousel is absurd. A half hour is a stretch — by the time I get to the carousel it’s usually five minutes until they start coming out and maybe ten before the last bag shows up. If

Eh, to each their own. Planes are uncomfortable, an extra few minutes of standing is worth it to me, obviously not to you.

Whatever you say. A giant open room is more comfortable than an airplane seat. Do wahtever you like. For me avoiding sitting on a plane for even 5 minutes is worth a few extra minutes on the back end of standing in an open space.

It’s worth noting that all of the people Twitter-quoted above are former contestants on the show. It’s not only viewers that drink the Bachelor Kool-Aid, it’s the people on the show itself. I occasionally (OK, often) watch with my wife (who is an otherwise very intelligent and progressive woman, so... shrug emoji),

Boarding the plane last is a benefit, not a detraction. Who wants to sit on the plane longer? Yeah yeah overhead bin space, just check your damn bag (at the gate, they will almost ALWAYS give free gate check on every flight). If it means a half hour less of sitting on an airplane, I’ll wait for my stupid bag at the

If you watch the prequels (which I know isn’t something most people want to take as canon or anything, but it’s all I have having not read the books), at least based on Obi-Wan’s actions, it seems Jedis mostly just act on instinct with no plan, relying on their skills to get them through things. Like, someone tries to

Isn’t... that exactly what I said in the last sentence of my post? As a consumer I would consider a movie a failure if the only reason it got made was because a big star signed on to it, but I recognize as a sentient being that that is in fact the way the world works.

That’s the question the producers have to ask themselves when they agree to his terms, I suppose. Maybe it’s true that the movie would have made 17 million dollars less than its 50 million without his name attached. I’d argue if more than 35% (ish) of your gross box office is based off of name recognition of the star

He earned the right to ask for it. It’s still stupid for a film to give him those perks if they don’t get that level of “worth” from his star power.

I don’t think acting skill is purely subjective. Whether you enjoy an actor it actress is subjective, but the actual skill... It’s not measurable per se but that doesn’t mean there’s not an objective “good” and ”bad”.

The word hero gets bandied about a lot nowadays, but sometimes it’s earned.

I guess you should no longer have trust in your friends then?

Interesting, I don’t actually have the lane departure, only the blind spot / RCTA. I feel like the lane departure warnings might be a bridge too far for me but I also thought I’d hate all the stuff I have before i had it, so who knows? Being curmudgeonly about things has pretty much always been proven wrong. :)

1st Gear : “These features are not a safety net”. It seems to me that’s exactly what they are? A safety net in a literal sense is a backup that you don’t want to rely on.

Ugggh I have one of those too. Why are people with shitty political opinions also somehow the people with voices that carry for 1000 miles over all ambient noise?
