I say the same thing to you that I say to everyone else with this response - it’s not that there’s not full serve stations, it’s that you’re not very observant.

JFC you people are really coming out of the woodwork to be assertively wrong on this one aren’t you?
I... I mean, if you choose not to fill up I have no sympathy, but... like... you know people in wheelchairs drive cars right?
Weird, the ones by me are actually significantly cheaper. Always assumed they had to pay less for insurance or something but I don’t know.
Also if I could go coast-to-coast in an hour or so, that would be ideal.
I honestly think a lot of this is that most of us (myself included) pull into the large stations off the highway (by design — they’re brightly lit and have amenities like toilets and food / drink), which... I never see full-serve islands at those. If you go to the smaller, sometimes “generic” gas stations that don’t…
Oh absolutely, when I say “full service” I mean they begrudgingly pump your gas, none of the other stuff.
Even worse — COUNTIES under 40k people. That’s a sparse county. You can have a small town pretty easily under 40k, but an entire county is impressive to me.
I’m really not sure how that’s relevant. It takes more than just squeezing the handle to reactivate the pump, you’d need to release and then squeeze (or, in the case of hands-free operations where they have the little catches that hold the trigger active, you’d have to squeeze once to release that, release the handle…
I don’t know what to tell you — yo’ure either unobservant or live in a different part of the country from me and things are different. At least throughout New England, a good number of gas stations that don’t have a store attached (IE you can’t buy soda / candy / etc) at least have a full serve option. I live in a…
Heyooooo
It’s certainly not the norm but I would argue “rare” is a stretch. In most areas where there are more than a few stations, usually at least one will have a full-serve island. I find smaller stations / brands to be more likely to have it. YMMV obviously, but if you prefer full serve you can find it if you’re not…
It most certainly does not. Once it clicks off you have to re-trigger the pump by releasing and then pushing it in again. This is either a fabricated story or a malfunctioning pump.
I mean... I live in a state where we’re allowed to pump our own gas, but there are also full service pumps for... these people. My wife goes to full serve most of the time, and we live in a small town in NH (note : there are no other types of towns in NH).
This was my question!
I really want to buy a BMW M240i this year. Feels a little mid-life-crisis-y but still more practical than an actual M2 / M3, and I have an old pickup at home for hauling duties. Alwyas been a fan of small cars and would like to step into the German luxury-ish realm. Also considered an Audi S3 but drove it and didn’t…
Never been all taht crazy about the “if you’re a good enough driver you can compensate for less ideal vehicle dynamics” arguments. FWD vehicles can absolutely be fun, but the fact remains that they’re not preferable for a lot of reasons.
Eh, I can personally only listen to stand up for an hour or so before I get a kind of humor fatigue. Something I would find hilarious in another circumstance I just can’t laugh at after listening to a full comedy album.
I’m not sure how “dumb” my hot take is, you’re sitting here arguing the fucking unspoken and unwritten motivations of a fictional character.
I don’t buy that. Luke was like 20 in a New Hope and didn’t even know Obi-Wan existed. I’ll grant that Obi-Wan on some level was looking after Luke, but he was hiding out and sulking over Anikin for two decades. Luke was on that island... half that time? Not even, given the timelines of his flashbacks with Ben Solo?…
