I think warning systems can be separated from automatic systems.

I’m coming up on 40, but same. My body feels old (as does my hairline....) sometimes, but mentally? The fact that I’m in any sort of high position at work feels like a sham to me. Sometimes I’ll be driving and just look around and think “who allowed me to do this?”

I was watching some garbage movie on a flight and this happened to me. It wasn’t even a sex scene, just a raunchy “people get naked for shock value” type of scene in a wacky modern comedy (don’t even remember what it was, but it was bad). It was part of the flight’s in-seat free entertainment! I was amazed it

Of all the companies I’ve had to rethink giving my money to in this political climate, LL Bean has been the hardest to stomach.

My favorite thing to think about when it comes to the “badass” biker gang folks is how much time they spend picking out their outfit and accessories in the morning.

Please show your work. :)

I don’t not believe you. I’m sorry it’s so frustrating.

I often wonder if some people have accents or even just tones of voices that are not friendly with these devices (not trying to “blame the user” here, so much as a hole in their interface that you may be in). Like in “Better Off Ted” when their devices couldn’t detect black people....

I’m always amazed by how well the Google dictation app works, and how good Google Home is at understanding what I’m asking, so I’m surprised and disappointed to hear that.

You’re commenting on a 3+ year old comment, but I think your overly dramatic comment reinforces my point: the people (you) who would flip out over a minor inconvenience are always going to find something to overreact to.

This topic comes up on every one of the videos like this, and I honestly don’t know how you “don’t pass on the right” people get through a single day on the road, let alone your entire lives, without being in a lane that happens to go faster than another lane. Unless you just camp out in the right and go well below

I watch it with my wife. It’s a funny comedy.

So many of these stories start with “I knew I was sick but went on a road trip anyway.” I’ve had stomach bugs, but when I do, I stay the fuck home.

Yup. Used to do this all the time in my cousin’s Astro with self-adjusting rear drums.

Same. For some reason everyone thinks the only comparison is “all seasons on an AWD vs winter tires on a RWD/FWD”. Yes I’d probably rather have two wheels with snows, but AWD with snows is pretty significantly better.

Copy of Mythbusters trying a similar experiment (on a closed course)

You’ll likely make a lot of noise TRYING but I would be willing to bet you’d never actually get your car to go into reverse.

Cool story, angry bro. Your levels of self-righteousness are truly impressive, even for an internet comment section, but you’re talking about two different things. Supporting a local craftsman is great, and I too enjoy shopping locally even if it means paying more. But it has nothing to do with “quality,” at least

I don’t disagree with buying hand-made or “local” items from an ethical standpoint and do it all the time. His blowhardy post had nothing to do with ethics (though I’m sure he’ll try to retrofit it that way), it had to do with insulting people for spending money on something he has zero familiarity with outside of

I’m sorry, how is spending $90 for a single tumbler not flashy spending? A $5 glass tumbler from anyplace will last you a lifetime if you don’t drop it (and yours will shatter just as easily if you do).
