This is top ten cheap fixes. I’m sure tires would be high on anyone’s list of not-quite-cheap-but-absolutely-necessary fixes.

Every state is different. Some don’t even require drivers to HAVE insurance (Hi NH!)
It does seem silly. I mean, git knowledge is important on a collaborative team (people who stumble around in any source control system are a pain in the ass to deal with), but it’s also pretty easy / quick to learn the basics and get along for most technologically-minded people.
Hey, I can’t argue with any of that. Just pointing out that it can be dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing.
Every single year someone, or MANY someones, do things like this when trying to deep fry turkeys, so... probably not AS big a concern with a small fryer but it’s definitely something to be cautious of.
IQ 100 is by definition the average “intelligence”, so half the population is at or below it.
True, but it still flies in the face of the statement “rooting Nexus devices is not frowned upon by google and has no adverse consequences.” It does have adverse consequences.
Really?? Man. My exit strategy if Trump gets elected is to move north, but if I have to give up all my fun Google features.... ;)
Will it ever?
Not entirely true — it makes it so you can’t use Android Pay, and Google has said that they have no plans to try and support it.
Either your friend is bullshitting you, or he lives in a bizarre lawless state. I’ve never been able to register a car without having a license to go with my name.

It’s funny how all the poop stories blame the very last thing they ate. It’s pretty rare that something makes you sick within 10 minutes or even a few hours of eating it (exceptions for coffee, which goes through me in roughly 14 seconds). Same problem with anyone who’s ever thrown up — you blame the last thing you…
Seconded. Season ticket holder, and every time I go to that place, even I hate Pats fans.
I took driver’s ed in the winter, and our instructor wanted to teach us how to react to a slide, which is really good. Of course he did it on a residential street, which isn’t the best. So he had me go down this street, gave me a brief “don’t slam the brakes, try to steer and correct gently” and then gave the e-brake…
Same.
Left lane is for passing — in many states by law (“keep right except to pass”). If you’re going “slightly faster than everyone else,” by all means, stay in the left for a while, but if someone comes up behind you, get out of the way. It’s really not a difficult concept. I know people hang out in the left lane thinking…
Had a pretty similar experience with a ‘93 Ranger a few months ago. The thing was in rough shape but driveable (barely), but I was up-front about all the issues and the price was set accordingly. A 20-something kid came, was super excited about it, his friends kept finding things wrong and telling him he was crazy. He…
My cousin worked for a moto dealership for years. This happened WEEKLY, no matter how much they told people to be careful when riding. Usually it was because they did something egregious, but sometimes it’s just unfamiliarity with a new machine and nervousness.
