Oh, you're saying those are GOOD salaries? ;)

As someone currently with a beard but who has gone for stretches (years) without one, I always found this ridiculous. People look at my beardless license photo all the time and compare it to my bearded face. Way more of a "disguise" than a little makeup.

Kinda hilarious how the second it hits the ground they always cut to an interior shot so you can't see the obvious carnage.

Ugh, reminds me of one time I was in college and was riding my bicycle around a rotary (roundabout) on my way to school, and the brake lever decided to FALL OFF. Plowed right into the back of a car. Apologized and rode off (no damage I could see but I admit I didn't stick around; I was young and stupid). I don't

We may be able to technologically do better, but nothing we build will ever be as beautiful as that thing.

Considering their size, Smart's get pretty bad gas mileage compared to the competition. It's more about fitting into places than being economical, so I guess it makes more sense that way (they're nto trying to save gas money, they're trying to "fit" in places where the Hummer won't)

The fact taht you used Windex probably explains why black marker is the only one that is cleanable, and only if fresh. Windex (per the article) strips a little of the coating that helps with the "dry" part of "dry erase."

Well played, you beat me to it.

Can't tell if you're sarcastically mocking me or not, but if you're being serious, that's great!

Always with the safety! Can't you see this would make air travel .04% more comfortable?

Greggggg Easterbrook, is that you?

I'm sure, now that Seattle has a FIFTEEN DOLLAR minimum wage, the tip jars at coffee shops in the area will go away, right? :)

Depends on the place. I have a few local places around here where I'd be considered a regular — staff recognizes me, etc — but they're all friendly, small businesses with nice people. They don't hold me at gunpoint and force small talk or anything. Coffee shop in particular, if I'm not in a hurry I might shoot the

You could start carrying cash, even if just for this specific purpose. How much would you tip, 50 cents? Grab a roll of quarters every couple weeks if it really bothers you.

I worry that you either don't know what produce means, or you don't know what "fresh" means.

Huge fan of the date thing, for exactly the reason you state - sorting. So much easier.

Right but we're talking about seasonal allergies, not ... peanuts. With seasonal allergies you don't really have much of a choice - you can't avoid them altogether, so you're always going to have more and more exposures, unless you live in a clean room and never leave. If your pollen allergy becomes life-threatening

A friend of mine used to own... I think 1/10th ownership in a plane, and it wasn't terrible. But then US insurance regulations changed and more than 2 people (I think) couldn't be on the same policy, so rather than splitting the costs 10 ways they couldnt' split them more than two, and the numbers get MUCH more real.

Fair enough, thanks for the input.

I think 90's is definitely the cutoff for most people, even myself who much prefers windows to A/C when feasible.
