BRB, Texas...

trying to build luxury cars on FWD economy car platforms

It's about time!

They have to be more careful, as the children will naturally flock to it thinking it’s a big koala bear.

I am really, really happy to see this car being built, and I think it’s priced reasonably considering the segment and what it brings to the table.

It really does look identical... I’m sure there is some parts cannibalization with test mules/prototypes (for camouflage, I imagine) and I can’t believe Ford would be so stupid as to attempt to carry over the entire rear end of the previous generation to what is purportedly an all new vehicle. But I'm concerned if

But that’s how it looks IRL...

No, it doesn't, and what the fuck is going on with the rear glass? Why does it dip so far below the belt line? That looks ridiculous.

I think the rest of it is fine and the interior is awesome, but whenever I see the front end of one of these, this is what I think of

Low mileage, Japanese reliability, 280 hp, 0-60 under 6 seconds and with the bonus of RWD and available manual. Under $10k.

Acura is the hummingbird of the automotive world.

Watch the other video, it's there. I'm surprised she wasn't shot.

Thank you! Wide streets, turn lanes, flow of traffic... these are all wonderful things!

I knew from the first time I saw it. The dash-to-axle ratio says it all. And we got word that the new D6 platform (that can be configured for RWD) won’t be ready until 2019. I was really hoping for a rear-biased AWD system like most Audis, which I think could really make this car competitive in its segment. But I fear

Yes. Say what you will about the interior (I’d prefer just the mocha or similar brown) but as someone in the snow belt who wants the AWD but doesn’t want to give up the manual or the luxury bits, I would totally buy this. One of the major reasons I haven’t considered Subaru is all the hard plastic and generally cheap

Unfortunately, all the AMGs were.

That’s taking the seller’s word for it. Seems a little low to me as well; I’d add the qualifier in the US. My brief research yields several different figures. Best I could find was this thread on MBworld (numbers themselves from an AMG lounge thread):

Me too! I looked for a C43 or C36 but couldn’t find any on eBay.

This Mercedes C32 AMG. 349 hp supercharged V6. Less than 850 made. It’s a sleeper - virtually indistinguishable from lesser versions of Mercedes’ popular entry level sedan, unless you’re in the know. 0-60 in about 5 seconds. Buy it now for $10,400.
