No, it’s the styling.

1st gear: Goldman Motors has a better ring to it anyway.
I really hope they are, particularly the parts about the new RWD platform and V8 option...
This. So much, this. Mercedes has been a particularly egregious offender going back to the W220 S-class. I’d expect them to engineer a better solution than that. I don’t want an ugly plastic plate stuck on the grille of my $100,000 car.
Personally I think the one preceding it was the best looking of the whole lot.
Hadn't heard that... has it been confirmed anywhere? If true, that's awesome.
That would be fucking amazeballs.
Truth be told, I was really hoping for something more along the lines of this:
I really hope not.
Please, Lincoln, let it be!
But that goofy Spongebob Squarepants front end, though...
Sadly it looks like the front end of that Malibu will still have an ugly body colored bar slapped across a gaping grille. I was really hoping for more Impala-like styling.
I generally like the squinty look. I actually think the new Mustang could go a bit squinty-er. I can see it in the headlights, sure (which I'm ok with), but the hood is too high and that grille has a bit too much bass mouth gape going on for my tastes ("pedestrian safety" at work):
19 feet long and 7 feet wide? More than 8 1/2 feet tall?

Lyft ditched the mustache.
Wow. First impressions? I love the long, low, wide design. Front end looks great, though I'm not sold on the headlight design. Something seems weird about the C-pillar and rear end area. Need to see more photos. In any event, I am thrilled to see this car being built.
Also do you think you can keep us posted on the restoration work of the aircraft because that would be cool to see as it leaves for Tinker and comes back all freshened up.
the interior is somehow reminding me of a 1980s S-Class
I wish GM would drop the FWD Impala, stick the Impala body on the SS, call it Impala SS, and offer a V6 option as the base Impala.
Something that looks this good deserves to have a V8 and RWD.
