Pretty simple if you consider what the kneeling is supposed to draw attention to.

I’ll tell you. The smallest f***ing province in the Russian Empire, that’s where!
I’ve gotten rid of frosting on Rx goggles using toothpaste. A friend, who’s a now-retired airline captain mentioned that that’s what’s used to de-scuff the chin windows in the cockpit (side note: ever wonder how either pilot can see forward when the plane is pitched upwards on takeoff? Yeah, there are little windows…

BTW, as someone who grew up learning that mammal retinas have two kinds of receptors (rods/cones) I find it fascinating that the ganglia connecting these receptors are also light sensitive - and might be an evolutionary hold-over. And yes, blue light is exactly what they’re sensitive to, driving both melatonion…

It’s not clear that the President was ever supposed to be like the Speaker - even when Senators were appointed rather than directly elected.
But those encourage you to coil your cables, leading to tangles. IMO, much better to fold your cables. just hold both ends together, fold at the halfway point, then do the same with the pint together with the ends. When you unpack your cable from whatever tie you prefer (I usually use velcro) you can just hold one end…

I used to use rubber bumper pads for lots of things, but when they get old (10+ years) they get sticky. I’ve since switched to felt bumbers/pads, which seem to not have this issue - but it’s been less than 10 years since I switched.

I’ve had issues with too-bright LED indicators. I tried a bit of celo tape darkened with black permanent marker. Worked fine. I’ve since discovered that I could just use the black permanent marker right on the LEDs - which also works fine.

Crazy AOC wants to ABOLISH the Electoral College. Let’s remind her this is OUR COUNTRY, not the Coastal Elites [sic],majority of voters”..
We’re all dealing with multiple Trumps. There’s Teleprompter Trump, Tweet Trump, Hiding Behind Helecopter Noise Trump. There might even be a Truth-Telling Trump, but I don’t think we’ve ever seen it - but if we do, it’s worth a headline.
He’s good at putting together code that finds what signal there is in the noise of polls, figures inherent error.
Brilliant!
Absolutely. I’ve been there a couple of times. There didn’t seem to be much in the way of sealiife (fish, molluscs, etc.) Something about the high salinity, I’d guess.
I do some photography post procesing. I have a 32" monitor that’s fairly close to me, so plenty of table behind it, so I can backlight with a simple ceiling light laid on the table. I’ve been using this one by Hyperikon ($16), a simple lamp cord ($3), plugged into a ‘slave’ outlet on a ‘power saving’ power strip…

With a dark sky, one challenge is getting the stars in focus - especially if your lens is wide open. I’ve had luck with a bahtinov mask with fine etched lines (the bigger plates you see for telescopes don’t work well at 20mm; they’re more for 500mm+
While you’re looking at electoral maps, maybe have a look at Colin Woodard’s analysis based on his view that the US is made of multiple nations. He’s written multiple books, but I’m linking to one of his columns at medium.com. Behind a paywall but you get 3 articles / month. Speaking of ‘nations’, he shows in another…
I did a quick look - at mofongo. Yes, the place everyone I asked in San Juan where it was ‘the best’ recommended the place that was #1 on their list. I’ve already had mofongo there. I guess I just don’t like mofongo. I love Puerto Rico otherwise, but not their national dish. Sorry PR folks, I tried - I really did.
The Auckland NZ airport duty free at least used to have amazing (to me) deals on scotch. If you’re going to NZ to visit with friends/family it might make sense to inquire as to their liquir tastes and pick them. You have access to the duty free on your arrival as well as departure. I remember getting a litre of…
