For me, the attraction of the Mot flip phones was primarily that they had better radios than the competition. Several times, on distance hikes, I was the only perrson who had signal. If that’s still true of the new version, yeah, I’ll buy one.

On the bright side, it could be worse: it could be Facebook installing cameras and whatever a Facebook doorbell / smart remote entry might look like. Amazon is only probably spying. With FB, there’s not a doubt in the world.
IMO, it’s not super useful to businesses. I expect they need a simple device that prompts for a keypress within the next 15 seconds, and hangs up if that isn’t forthcoming.

The Auckland NZ airport duty free at least used to have amazing (to me) deals on scotch. If you’re going to NZ to visit with friends/family it might make sense to inquire as to their liquir tastes and pick them. You have access to the duty free on your arrival as well as departure. I remember getting a litre of…
The problem with carbon steel pans is that the seasoning, no matter what you do, isn’t as durable as that on CI. Probably something to do with surface texture. And a lot of carbon steel pans come with lacquer coated handles so in-oven seasoning (my usual technique) is out.

I was just pointing out that, if you wanted HRTF, you’d need to plug the base station into whatever output your receiver provides with that.

...spooking me so much that I nearly dropped my camera.
I was wondering if these had HRTF (effectively, multi source audio out of just two earpieces) built in. When I saw that the base would accept digital audo, I thought maybe it could. I checked the manual

I’m a boomer. I probably want one of these. I’ve had MR2s, NSXs, and (of course) Porsches, and love what that centralization of mass does for a car’s nimbleness. I find the current Corvette too big, so if they scale the outside down a tad at the same time, all to the better. Otherwise, I guess I’m getting something…
But if you talk to out doors people 50 and older most will tell they simply werent around before the 70s and 80s. There were other ticks but not deer ticks.
The ranges for the different species of ticks are moving northwards. It’s pretty much destroyed the moose population in New England (google ‘moose calf ticks’). This is after a comeback in the last decade or so.
I mostly don’t disagree. But ticks hatch uninfected, they have to have a blood meal on a host that has a tick-transmissible disease before they can carry it to the next host.
Even if there was DOD research on ticks as bioweapons, that has no bearing on our current Lyme epidemic.
BTW/FWIW, there are streams pretty close to this color blue in New Zealand.
Just be prepared for your husband to ask for your help to bleed the brakes.
I plan to spend around $10, probably on the vitamins I’m taking anyway. Amazon had this deal: spend $10 at Whole Foods and get $10 credit on amazon for Prime Day. So it’s effectively 50% off the yoghurt I bought at WF and the vits I’ll buy on amazon.
He needs to be able to say that he won on this one, just like he’s claiming to be building ‘the wall’. If he doesn’t need to be building a actual physical wall in order to claim that he’s doing it, and walls are something that people can go and see, he doesn’t need to actually have the data. He can just say ‘yeah,…
I heard ythe charging prosecutors were from the corruption department (which normally dels with public corruption, not child molestation / rape). If that’s true, expect Acosta to be charged.
Hi Heather, that green lamp you remember, with the unpleasantly-bright mantles, ran on benzine, not kerosene. The mantles were interesting, as they had thorium in the threads. When a mantle was first lit, the parts other than thorium would go to ash, making a very fragile skeleton holding the thorium. The thorium…
