I read the second amendment as the collective right to bear arms*, meaning that the states being incorporated into the united states had the right to continue to have their own militias. Sort of like member nations in the EU continuing to have their own armed forces. There was general distrust of large scale

You seem to be lacking any kind of clue about the fear many women sometimes have to endure. I get the impression that you, personally, might be one of the reasons that happens. Hiding behind a burner account like a big brave man. Bravo!

The anger inevitably gets directed at the N.R.A.

My first thought was that the issue was white police preying on the black community. Did some Googling and found this.

I grew up in an NRA household. My dad belonged (very competitive skeet shooter). I joined (handgun competitor). We both sent our cards back when the NRA came out in favor of everyone’s right to Teflon coated bullets (AKA ‘cop killer bullets’). That was 30+ years ago; they’ve been drifting farther and farther from

The person to thank is the teacher/coach who took bullets and died to protect innocents.

Don’t forget ‘denigrate’ and ‘gyp’.

Did you mean to reply to someone else? I use a microwave to make roux - but for gravy, not gumbo, and don’t get my knickers twisted by the way someone makes roux. This is just easier, and IMO less prone to lumps or burning in a busy kitchen.

Agreed - if by ‘cleaning’ you mean down to the metal / remove seasoning.

Roux is step 1 for making gravy - and I’ve been making roux for gravy in the microwave, just as you write, in 30 second bursts, for five or six years now.

You got them on yo feet!

My first couple of US passports were dark green, not blue, like they are now. Anybody else remember this?

A chance to tell everyone about how the Olympics is a global con that leaves host cities in crippling debt!

Assume the deaf lady knows more about it

I made a point of not using ‘orthography’, but ‘how our alphabet system works’ instead. Pity there isn’t a written ASL - or is there? I lost touch with that world almost 30 years ago. I’d think a gesture-to-symbol mapping might be an approach - like the way katakana maps to phonemes. Or maybe ASDN (dance notation).

I believe the real culprit is the contra-rotating nature of those propellers,

When running stories about Nunes, maybe run this earlier shot of him, too.
