They didn’t reject Goldwater because he was a racist.

It’s not free speech, it’s dismissing someone who replied to you. (the same way you can dismiss this comment).

Probably.

I find it interesting that, following this, the orange-one’s visit to Harley Davidson got postponed - or possibly cancelled. I know that if I was a manufacturer selling retail goods, I’d be a bit nerved out over being associated with this administration.

Or, you know, root your phone.

I’d suggest going at it in this order

As a consumer, it’s a balancing act. I tend to always check at least one bag, and carry on at least one (photographer here, not going to check $$$ in gear) so if an airline charges for those, I’ll add that to the base cost, plus any seat selection cost. Meals are a non-issue, except on trans-oceanic flights. So far,

So this one looks odd to you? The idea is to draw the viewer into the photo, get them looking around.

That works for snapshots. I’ll admit, I take those from time to time, but even for portraits, you can often improve the shot by putting the point of focus (sharpest focus), which is typically your subject’s closest eye, on one of those thirds-junctions.

If you’re visiting a friend’s place and your dog goes astray - and you can’t stay any longer, leave a piece of your clothing outside, where they can smell it.

...there’s also Juno,...

Horses for courses. With DIY bellows, you have only approximate control of your front element position. If you don’t get a lens with decent coating, you’ll have to deal with flare. Even so, you’ll run into issues with CA and barrel/pincushion distortion - which you can kind-of undo on PS, so long as you’re willing to

Actually, I often use exposure stacking for shots like that. Sort of HDR, but just using it to expand the dynamic range my camera can capture (theoretically 14+ stops, but the human vision system, which works more like video than stills, can capture 22-ish - and each ‘stop’ is a doubling, so big difference)

I hate the rule of thirds. If I want a picture of something, I want that thing as the focus, not off to the side.

I think you can, but you need to understand the memory architecture of whichever device you are putting Linux on - and you may run into RAM size issues.

Or just use a  LensBaby. They’ve even got a model for mobile phone cameras. Not exactly a T&S, but pretty much what’s going on here.

Hmmm... I use rule of thirds for portraits, but phi for landscape (my primary camera usage). But for landscape beginners

A problem with using a mandoline is that you cut your dominant-side hand. With a knife, you hold the knife with your dominant hand and it’s the other one that gets cut.

I ran that same ROM (slimkat) on a Note 3. I still like it better than CM13 on my Note 4.
