Batwoman: Yeah, I’m not a fan of pointy supervillain costume shoulders. No doubt there are costume fans out there who are like “Yes! C-lassic!!” I think the promo photo, while I agree - was great, was shot from a low angle so the shoulders were de-emphasized.

I too would probably jump AoS ahead of all the Netflix shows. It’s sort of an unfair comparison to put AoS’ 130 eps against, say, Luke Cage’s 24. Take all the Hell’s Kitchen shows together and put them against AoS and THEN we can have a proper argument.

Welp, they have a year or more to work-shop the character. Ed seemed to be partly on the autism spectrum, partly doing a Bobcat Goldthwaite impression (which might be the crazy sauce that could do the trick) and partly could be chalked up to Spike’s POV tripping on liquor and pain.

I just did eps 5 & 6. All the actors are trying to make their characters come to life. All are successful to one degree or another. Jet is basically strait-up Jet. Faye is more comedic. Funny eye-acting. Vicious is the one lacking so far, he’s kinda one-note. Seems like he was in the cartoon too. He certainly comes off…

See, what I didn't do was run out and rebinge the whole anime series in the run-up to this - therein lies the road to anal gripe-a-tude. The show is way better if the anime is somewhere in your subconscious and not in recent memory. 

I wouldn’t put it past this show to open up a scene, coming back from commercial break, where we start on Ava and Sara in bed - clearly post love-making - and pan right to reveal (sharing the bed) Gary, Gideon, Zari, Nate ...
