Good deal, then.
I thought that might have been the rare A+ episode. The show really threw down a marker and said, "We are taking our seat at the table with Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder, and Smallville AND Lois & Clark ..." and they pretty much proved they deserve to be in that company.
That last episode was some serious “John Doe in Se7en" type shit.
I think he just assumed the worst. Plus it seems like the show planned this for the surprise tease for next season.
If I were to pick-a-nit, that’s where I would go too. The possessed folks were pretty faceless. Leslie Larr, however, grew from like a scowl into a decent B-Level bag guy.
That anti-vape commercial, lol: “Well, we know they don’t stop it from blowing up..."
I have a feeling the show will “sunset” 2 more main characters this season, then I hope this is a wrap on Gotham... for a couple seasons anyway. The whole Blackfire plot seems on hold until the Red Hood story finishes up. Which is fine. Both are epic. Since the show’s thing is "real & gritty" I'm not sure how (or if)…
I usually watch this after midnight on the CW streaming site - where they post (what they refer to as) “extended episodes.” I don’t think any of them really extend anything more than 5 to 7 minutes. But even with that much, maybe this ep will breathe a little better.
Speaking of the Bertantiverse and dog humor: I just watched ep 3.3 of Titans ... Krypto had a couple solidly humorous woofs. “Go laser-beam me some hotdogs, Krypto.”
I kinda hoped that when Jennie “left” she got sucked into outer space to start her Lantern Corps training. (Like, later in the season she’ll return in full GL regaila.) Or is this not that kind of Green Lantern?
So good I want to cry... You’re the best, kris.
I’ve never seen that Jekyll/Hyde clip, so the scene worked fine for me. I agree with the grade, though. I think my criteria for an “A” grade is when the A, B, & sometimes C plots all dovetail perfectly. This one almost got there in that the B plot incredibly started to parallel the main plot as its own mystery - what…
CW: “Dont have to cut him/her a paycheck for THAT episode.”
Holy shit, that’s the best.
I tried to get a screen shot of Spooner jumping into Astra's arms last week. Hopefully someone with better skills than I will find it.
Oh, I thought that was in the A range. I think Omega will try to save anyone she believes is sentient. Droid ARE sentient aren’t they. (I’d like to see more of this issue played out throughout the whole franchise, “Solo” accepted).
The “I got a secret vasectomy...!” exchange was just the sprinkle of spicy weirdness that picked this episode up and plopped it in the "A" range for me.
Rick & Morty and Legends brought their “A” game(s) tonight. The planets and bowling balls align!
Or maybe it's ... Sum Sum?
