Aw, he just needs to offer to build a castle for all his jealous neighbors too. To spec, of course. And no bitching if the eras don’t match. Then build a little hovel-town for the landscapers.

Just start filming the sequel to the sequel already.

Pink Floyd finally got to score Dune...
I got the vibe during episode 3 when Leti just blurts out “The house is haunted,” and Tic, takes a beat, kind of sighs, and says “Talk me through it.”
Thanks. Come to think of it, the categorization of these things should be tied to media development. VHS = Gen X ... DVD = Millennial ... Digital = Gen Y ... Z/Zoomerz = Da Borg
She does an excellent door-opening shove.
Daniel Sackheim’s name in the credits puts me more in a X-Files mindset. I get being locked into a Scooby Doo & Goonies feel, but with an X-Files template (and Fringe, come to think of it) what I’m left with instead is a take on Mulder and Scully’s mytharc, only here it’s more concise. Mulder and Scully’s tribulations…
The book may turn out to be cursed in the way The Darkhold was on AoS. Montrose may want to forget the words, but they may bubble out of him involuntarily.
Mario Puzo’s The Godfather, Coda: The Death Of Michael Corleone
This opens up my personally developed conspiracy theory - one of the biggest reasons Don doesn’t want his finances revealed: Melania is a mail-order bride with $ traceable back to Putin through whichever mid-level boss ran the territory in control of her parents. Yeah, maybe she’s a “red sparrow” but really all she…
My first assumption was the “I don’t care” dress was some retort to a couple’s squabble between her and the Donald. Keeping in mind she’s a mail-order bride living under a strict NDA, AND she’s moderately successful at being (at least) bilingual, (is she multilingual? IDK) which means, in any case, that she knows…
... and holiday decorations.
I read Ma Rainey back in college, I suspect who the character is that Boseman will play. It’s a role that’s gonna hurt even more. And if, for some reason - due to treatment, say - he’s not one of the leads, Ma is a quietly powerful play and will justifiably add to his legacy.
Yeah, even definitionally. Calling something Penny Dreadful is akin to calling it “Horror Pulp Novel” so the show could have worked, I suppose, but seeing as how the original had these monster templates already set out - all they had to do was line them up and find where they intersected. Here, coming up with…
Rewatching the “fear and loathing” episode, I found it much more pleasantly funny than hilarious. Like the Deke and Mack episode this year, both are more in keeping with AoS’ deadpan tone rather than breaking into the wilder comedy of, say, a Legends of Tommorow episode.
When they mentioned that Deke would reroute the power from New York City to create the big energy field/jump into the QR, it seemed like a set-up for one of NYC’s classic city-wide blackouts. Maybe there’s some cut-scenes that will get a release at some point.
Nice shout out to Carl Sagan’s Cosmos too. Everyone had a copy! ‘Must have been Coulson’s Christmas gift to everyone.
And Snowflake is still locked up in the Lighthouse with her giant flat screen TV.
