Hey, isn’t it Red Monkey Month?

I watched Dark Phoenix before Westworld tonight and it wasn’t as terrible as I thought it might be. It’s totally all visual; just moving set-piece to action set-piece with minimal dialogue between scenes. Really good, trippy FX. I kept waiting for it to turn to shit like Fant4stic or even X-Men Apocalypse, but it

This show is growing more and more hardcore. This episode was strong enough that it could have been a season-ender. Certainly Alice’s story has landed on a beat that sets her aside for a few episodes. I’ve bitched before about how much time the show has spent on Alice, but the last run of episodes has been good

I wondered for about a second if Julia was somehow involved with all the assassinations. She might be in an MI:6 kind of way. She can’t be a villain, can she? She’s a Pennyworth, after all.

It got a “Ha!” out of me too. I wonder if the minstrel playing the show’s theme was Ramin Djawadi. Some of those costumes might have been easter eggs too. This was a solid episode and it wasn’t hurt or helped one way or the other by the cameos. I suspect the village in Warworld was the re-purposed King’s Landing set

KISS fanfic too, coincidentally.

Beware, a large crocodile guards the inland waters to the South.

I might go B+ in grading... then A- adjusting for Ahsoka fandom. I kept thinking there should be a tow-truck/traffic cop/EMT service that would “police” these high traffic areas. Otherwise, maybe the show could show us a scene of scrappers and vermin wa-ay at the bottom of the pit in Coruscant sifting through

It feels to me like a twenty-something and thirty-something showrunning crew, pitched the project really excitedly, infected everyone with their enthusiasm, (this show is enthusiastic if nothing else), got the project off the ground, and then came up with a lot of cool tech-progressions to the Star Trek Universe and

All movies are made-for-TV-movies.

OMG!!!! DaVinci’s Inquest. Greatest show no one has heard of. The whole show needs to be made available somewhere. I feel like it’s stuck in legal limbo between Canada TV, Alcon (pricks), and Chris Haddock - who? ... signed a development deal with HBO and then nada. It earns syndication money late nights between Rizzol

Nate was wearing lipstick! Yeah, I thought Ray would leave with a big red smooch on his cheek. Maybe the writers decided not to so that comedy wouldn’t step on the bittersweetness of it all.

I’d be okay with Sony taking over the “R-Rated” marvel properties. It would placate the Spider Man crossover frustrations. Simple deal they could work out: Disney trades two Deadpool movies to Sony in exchange for two more uses of Spidey in the Avengers MCU.

Little Allegra was super cute. Grown up Allegra/Maya is cute too. Don’t mind the blatant Indiana Jones references. Rip-off or homage? Don’t care.

Cisco flopping over face first on the lab bed (“I’m beat.”) was the moment I got that same feeling. Love Cisco. This is why Cisco is here. And this week was another goofy-great scene where you can tell the actors are having fun - Wells in bed with the possessed shakes while Cisco, Barry, and Cecile hold hands and

I’m betting the Mole is that same female deputy that always shows up to hand Singh or Joe some file and gets a banal line. “Here’s the file, boss. Why else is she in there? Either that or she’s the one who outs Singh to Joe.

Thanks, I had forgotten about that sequence.

I apologize in advance for going out on this limb, but was there absolute confirmation of Mike’s death in BB, or did he simply sit by the river and fade into the background? Was there a “we found a body...” line at some point?

I agree. If Kim dies, the Saul we see in BB would be a devastated SOB. I’m wondering if maybe Kim learns her lessons too well - and surpasses Jimmy by moving into a more involved “long con” style career.
