She was insufferable last night. I really wanted have CNN on in the background of the festivities as opposed to the other train wreck networks...but after 20-30 minutes I couldn’t handle her desperate attempts at shock humor and so on. Why Anderson lowers himself to her levels is beyond me.

Very well written piece. The problem, in my opinion, is that in the fight for true equality, the well-meaning embattled often end up demanding far more that that, ie, protected class status, which in the end, breeds anger and resentment from the broader society at large.
