Because it’s the WORST. GIFT. EVER!

Because it’s the WORST. GIFT. EVER!

Preeeeeety sure my entire post was about how I’m not good with it, but feel free too create whatever false narrative you’d like to.

Well it may also be what you specifically do. I’m a consultant, I don’t work at these companies. Once a relationship is formed, these guys will often really open up with me because it’s not something they can usually do.

If you lived in my world, and wanted to fight every racist you came across, you’d be dead by 35. And I don’t “hang around” or befriend racists and bigots and so on, but being around them is unavoidable.

Well I can tell you I don’t specialize in an industry, I work with pretty much all of them. Keep in mind, when I say a few beers, I don’t mean at a work function or networking event, I mean when I’m getting them drunk while we’re golfing or at a bar or what have you.

Honestly, to a lot of white people who live in little white bubbles it comes down to this, “there’s a black guy in the white house and I can’t say the N-word anymore, so don’t tell me there is still racism.”

You haven’t heard it post-Obama? I will say that there are obvious exceptions. Eecutives at large companies generally keep their mouth shut at work. But afte a few beers even they usually can’t hold it back.

I’ve been playing ice hockey my whole life, and have many hockey friends. Almost to man they are proud racists. It’s such a given that it’s usually not worth the effort of fighting, but there have been several cases where I’ve blown and gone off on them.

Haha, yeah you scared the shit out of him. I’ve gotten into it with coworkers when I was younger and before I learned that it’s usually not worth it.

Yeah most are conservatives or at least think liberals are awful.

I work for myself, if I did that I would have quit years ago. :)

Yep, it really did.

Yeah depending on the setting, I’ll do that. But even that gets me “looks”.

It’s always been bad, but never as bad as it’s been since Obama got into office. I’m a consultant and generally I meet with high level execs and/or the business owner. These guys LOVE to hear themselves talk, and unfortunately, that’s exactly what I want them to do as part of my sales process. And like I said, I guess

I am a white professional living in the Northeast, and my situation has always been a little different - I am surrounded by the racists and the sexists and those who mock the poor. See I look like one of them, so they assume I think like them, but I don’t.

This is great, but the culture in corporate America is extremely ANTI-leave for dads having new babies. They can offer all the time they want, any guy who actually takes them up on that for any more than a few days will loose all kinds of respect and stature, not to mention potential for advancement.

Another fun fact - Apple is a greedy, heartless mega-corporation who, while being a massive US tax evader who utilizes slave labor abroad to make it’s products even though they are the richest corporation in the world, have somehow convinced scores of dumb ass people the world over that they are free thinking,

As some who grew up with the original movies, I was completely turned off by the prequels (except Phantom to some extent) because of all the over the top CGI. I’m hopeful this new movie will be different.

Don’t feel to bad....he may have been! Who knows with that old crank? ;)

I don’t know, I see motorcyclists like this and they are reckless, dangerous imbeciles. Plus he had a passenger to boot. Also, I think it’s possible that the driver wasn’t trying to hit him, but scare him, as he swerved over well before the biker got to him, not at the same time as if he was intentionally trying to
