Seemed pretty obvious to me. Not sure why it ever needed confirmation.

I want a return to Man-ime like yesterday. I’ll take two dudes with spiky hair yelling at each other for 30 minutes over any of the tropes modern anime offers. Nothing really looks unique anymore in anime, it’s all basically the same concept as you’ve described.
Yeah I still can’t get over how cool Ikari was. I really liked the Purple Man arc too.
I get the Reverse Flash comparison people are making, but Waid already introduced an anti-DD in Ikari. He wears Matt’s retro costume, has the same radar sense, and he can see. Still one of my favorite panels in a while.
I have no reason to believe it’s not Matt. I think it’s obvious they just want to strike familiarity with the Netflix series that everyone and their mother has seen by now. The black and red color scheme, bandaged fists and escrima sticks pretty much give it away.
I think Marvel is smart enough not to exclude the FF or the X-Men completely from their comics. I can understand merchandising which doesn’t really bother me since I don’t buy toys anyway. We’ll probably see the X-books lessen in number in the new Marvel-U, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing since these last few…
Well certainly no one’s done THAT in the history of DOTA!
Ultimate Spider-Man and X-Men stayed good afterward. A lot of cool things came afterward like Reed Richards becoming the Maker, which now plays a huge role in Secret Wars. Plenty of cool things were happening, but the story-telling definitely took a hit after a while.
“12 year old girls who look 18”
I hate that we’ll never see Ultimate Peter again. He was absolutely my favorite comic book character in many many years. When they ‘resurrected’ him last year, it looked like we might have a chance of seeing him back in action, but they left that whole story off on a vague cliffhanger that we’ll never see a resolution…
To be fair (not that this conversation was unfair), it’s not as if DC has been putting out nothing but poor material these past few years. This is more of a reaction to the poor quality of Convergence than it is DC’s books as a whole. We already answered why this event wasn’t all that great to begin with. It was…
I’ve never seen him as a straight abuser, but he does blow off his family quite a bit. Reed gets wrapped up in his own head a lot and doesn’t let his family in on a lot of things he works on. One story arc not too long ago focused on him giving the family a trip through time because he found out everyone’s powers were…
I take it you’ve caught on by now that it’s a different Snyder who writes Batman. No worries.
The rabbit looking ears are the only thing I don’t like about the suit, but that’s about it. Snyder has yet to disappoint me with his take on Batman so I’ve got high hopes for this incarnation. I’m not entirely convinced Bruce is dead either (this is comics we’re talking about). Unless they reveal that they actually…
Alright that makes more sense. I don’t think they made it very clear in the opening issues. Thanks. I think this event has plenty of good potential, but mainly just for the throwbacks. Nightwing and Oracle has been my favorite so far.
There's maybe 15% CGI in that entire movie. The behind the scenes are pretty amazing.
My only question so far was if the domes took away superpowers, why were powers on display from the likes of the Hawk duo? Is it because their powers are tech based? Because I’m pretty sure they’re not and their strength is part of their DNA. Why were they able to fly and strong-arm Gotham?
This is the kind of cosplay I really appreciate. I think it's a lot cooler when people give a different take on an existing character rather than just doing a 1:1 recreation.
I'm sure the same could be said for at least 90% of all superheroes.
Well, John Romita Jr. is the one illustrating right now and he's the only one who's had a stab at the new design. People either love or hate JRJ, so I'm betting once another artist has a stab at it people will warm up to it. I like JRJ, but I think he has a better eye for scale on the page rather than character…
