—Everyone who ever loaned money to Ric Flair
Ah yes, Rick Flair. I remember his classic matches with Hank Hogan and Andrew the Really Tall Guy.
I’ve got no stake in this question, so I’m going to stay out of it...but yeah those are some turrible dudes.
One of my best friends is Puerto Rican, and he spends more time on Cubans (the émigrés) than any other group of Latin Americans when he does his Festivus Airing of Grievances.
Oh my god. The Nats’ chances of advancing in the post-season were dead the whole time!
Well Romeo Crennel is not walking through that door, at least given the fact that it’s standard door width.
Holy shit, when did SB Nation commenters get here?
He always was a fan of taking the under.
WEEI is where to go to hear Boston Red Sox games on the radio. It’s been that way for most years since 1995, and it…
This is the saltiest take in the history of salty takes. Bravo!
He really let all those tourists down today.
One of my first games was with a friend in jr high up in Milwuakee for the Cubs game when dude in the OF dropped the ball that would have clinched a playoff spot (‘98, I think), and fans just POURED beer all over him out there.
And then after the game, everyone was walking back drunk on that bridge and I thought for…
I was raised as a Sox fan, but in Madison WI. So while the team I follow primarily is the Sox, I’ve been to probably 50 Brewer games in my life and will always have a place in my heart for the Brewers. You explained it perfectly though, because baseball is not that much of an investment. I just put on the radio and…
Who is your baseball team? Cubs? Sox?
I’m in a weird boat in that I grew up 3 hours from Chi or StL and was further south in the state, so I adopted the Cardinals because that’s my dad’s team and he coached me through little league. But part of what’s pushed me further away from investment is just getting older (having…
Same here. Dropping the Bears from my life was the best sports move I have ever made.
I still root for them, but I’ve given up a lot of my investment in them (time and emotion) and it’s wonderful (same is true for all the rest of sports for me). I hope they do well, but I won’t make plans on Sunday to watch them play if I have anything better to do.
yeah I’m going to say I’m in the same boat as you. I think I’ll just be a football nomad for awhile and pick a different team each year to follow. I do like having my sundays free.
+1, came here to say the same thing
Yea, I still pay attention to news like this, but the actual games are like taking a trip to the strip club with your significant other. Gross and boring.
eh, pulisic did a little bit on that goal i guess, but it was mostly created by US youth soccer
