Let's be honest with ourselves: it's not about piracy. It's about whoever controls the Internet controls the world.

As far as I know music licences are per country.
That's not a U.S. idea ... over here in Germany we had a law which allowed to put up Internet stop signs for sites with child pornography. All in all it worked pretty much the same as SOPA does. Every reasonable expert opposed it. The law passed the parliament anyway and became effective in January 2011 - but it was…
A little warning: the app creates a home screen shortcut on the first start. While it's not that big a deal it's still kind of annoying. I like to create my shortcuts myself.
#offtopic / trivia: One of the founders of the company behind Trello is Joel Spolsky from [www.joelonsoftware.com] , a famous blog a few of you might know. E.g. the Law of Leaky Abstractions [www.joelonsoftware.com] is worth a read for everyone tech savvy.
I love my memory foam pillow. No more neck pains in the morning.
My former boss in a huge company was kind of an email-hater. Not that he hated the technology (in fact he loved technology) but he didn't like the effort you have to put into everything email. Most people talk faster than they type and also most people answer faster on the phone than on an email. Missunderstandings…
Best money spent in the last year? 1000 Euros on a new bed for my wife and me - it was 2-for-1 and a great deal but after sleeping in it for six months now I would pay the full price with a smile. Best sleep ever. Back pains are gone and I wake up after 7h perfectly fit and ready for the day.
There are already mostly working ICS-ROMs from SDK dumps for the HTC Desire (which is kind of a Nexus One twin) on XDA so you can expect to get all the ICS goodness for the Nexus One, too. You'll just have to wait till someone at XDA releases a dumped ROM (which tend to have driver issues though) or till Google…
Yes, I know. But still there can be like hundreds of items per folder. In netvibes I only see the last six items per feed. So I've got ten boxes (e.g. lifehacker, gizmodo, etc.) and each box has the last six headlines in it. Perfectly fits my reading habits. I wasn't able to manage to do that in GReader (maybe my…

Has anyone tried the similar geexbox [www.geexbox.org] And if yes, how is it in comparison?
Hm, I honestly don't know ... I only keep track of one team and got the goals quite in time. I set a 5 min poll frequency so maybe I was informed a few minutes later but still fast enough.
Google Scoreboard is great. While it is no longer available in the market you can easily get at XDA devs: [forum.xda-developers.com]
If that's true then I will preferably not use this service...
I really think Elixir 2 is great but there's one thing they should change. If you install the personal widgets extension you have to grant Internet access and provide your Gmail password otherwise it won't show the Gmail unread count. I don't like that (I use LBE Privacy Guard for rights management). It should use…

I never leave a message. Voice mail is annoying and I tend to talk like a robot with it. On my phone(s) I disable voice mail completely. If it is something very important the caller will call again, otherwise (s)he will text.
