Same here. On my HTC Desire I've benn using CWM 2.5.0.7 in combination with CM 7 since nightly build 20 and never had any problems at all.

I love the app and have been using it for quite a while now! It also has a "to-do-list" (there seriously call it that) where I can check what I haven't seen yet.
There are quite a few ways to free up some space on the Desire. With a custom ROM you could use App2SD+ which uses an ext3/4 partition on your SD card to store apps. There are lots of custom Sense ROMs with App2SD+ out there if you don't want to lose a few Sense goodies.
Using CM in "Settings"->"Input"->"HOME Key pressed" (don't know the correct english title, sorry) you can even replace the default task switcher by any other app. So just put in Dock4Droid and you'll see that whenever you long-press home. Actually I haven't tested Dock4Droid yet but it worked with every other task…
The problem with "fugly" Android is not the system itself. You can make it look so awesome you want to cry. If you don't believe it just look over at the xda-devs forum into one of the "Post your screen"-threads.
Great. Finally there's a webservice to flood the market with useless RSS-to-app apps. We have bookmarks and we have feed readers - why would we need a single-site-rss app?
I think that's not true ... I was able to restore every app no matter where it came from. Only SMS restore failed a few times (I used MyBackup Root for SMS then and it worked).
You can choose to backup and restore data only; even if you backuped data and apk you can restore data only. Also you could restore the apk only even if you saved data, too. Titanium asks you everytime what to restore: data, apk or both.
I just saw that the link shortener killed the css line. So here it is again:
You can put al those nifty userchrome.css mods into a Stylish style (the add-on is here: [addons.mozilla.org] ). Just put this in the first line:
Same concerns here ... I still try not to think about that Google has all my mails. Opening the gates for another party ... hm ... sounds creepy.
I just don't get how a multi-national company like Amazon delivers a (by now) U.S.-only market in 2011. I mean is there anything more international than selling apps over the internet? If an international customer is able to install the market via amazon.com why shouldn't (s)he be able to get apps there?!? Because…
It's by far not as sophisticated as the tip in the article but I remap keys using SharpKeys: [www.randyrants.com] - it's a GUI that makes remapping as easy as 1-2-3. I remapped the caps lock to shift long time ago and never have to worry about it again. Only thing is that you can only remap keys to other keys and not…
I import games a lot. I am from Germany and games have a rather high price here. But after all it doesn't matter if you bought a game in Germany, the UK or the US. As long as you legally purchased it you're fine. Most of the time you don't even need the physical disc but only the key on the manual to play so you…
It's a theme for CyanogenMod 7 (Gingerbread) called Cyanbread. It comes with the ROM and can be set in the Theme Chooser app.
For those who don't want to sign up: [www.bugmenot.com] - worked for me but may not last very long.
Yep, was going to write that, too. CM however doesn't give you the option to make per week day rules. It's one for all. Still great, though.
Honestly I think Tasker is quite easy to use for what you can do with it. Putting together and optimizing the profile took like 15 minutes and it's running in the background saving me worries about wether my phone is completely silent or not ever since. Recreating the profile should take about 5 minutes.
I have a great tip for those who worry about the media volume. First of all get Tasker if you don't have it already. You'll love it. Then create the following profile:
I run build 27 (cm7-06022011) on my Desire (Bravo) for 9 days now and it is super-stable. It's my current day-to-day ROM. Not one thing FC'd or didn't work in any way it shouldn't. I used the Oxygen2 RC6 before that and while it was good CM7 is still better, even the Nightly.
