I use Zeam with a minimal Gingerbread ROM called Oxygen 2 on my Desire and it is absolutely fantastic how fast the phone is (after FroYo Sense).

@Criosphynx: If your phone is rooted try to block internet access for Wallet with DroidWall [code.google.com] and see what happens. If only the ads and Dropbox sync are broken everything seems fine.
@Frank Montanaro: If your phone is rooted try to block internet access for Wallet with DroidWall (a UI for iptables - so kind of a firewall) and see what happens.
@OmegaVader: Try android2cloud on AppBrain [www.appbrain.com] or on Google Code [code.google.com]
@CarcharoDon Carcharias: You should use WidgetLocker. It replaces the default lock screen and gives you the ability to add widgets to the locked view.
@Thangka: I loved QRs but now I'm all for a market link plus Chrome2Phone/Fox2Phone. Right click - send link to phone is just the best.
@Chris Thomas: I use the default SenseUI texting app and it is really great so I don't have/want to use handcent. Never tried it. Maybe I should give it a test run sometime ...
Great app. I use it for six months now and still everythings great. The only thing is it doesn't work so well with WidgetLocker. You have to manually add an exeption to WL.
@DaTruth: Gmail doesn't use a weird algorithm but an Exponential backoff [en.wikipedia.org] . It's maybe the best solution for such large scale webservices. They calculate the best interval according to how often you get mail on your POP account. They change the calculated time if you start to receive more/less mail.…
@WilyFox: I got the same and I think somehow it sounds rude ... but not in a nice way but more like there's a ", stupid" missing at the end.
@AndyML: Your comment brings up an important point: if possible check how your passwords are stored at the services you use! Try the "forgot your password?" link at least once.
@Maave: The HTML page can only upload files it knows the path to. So it pretty much comes down to app data and pictures stored on the SD. The apps should be pretty common so that the chance of files actualling being there increases. So it's not THAT dangerous but still it's a quite huge security hole.
That's gonna be a long list (only those I normally use at least once a week):
@hoagland.kevin: No, doesn't work either. I also tried disabling AdBlock etc. Nothing worked.
@be1ge: I removed the application first. I also pressed the x, chose "delete post" (actually it's in german but I hope I translate it in a way you understand which option it should be), and confirmed that. Then I get "Hiding the post failed." (yes, hiding not deleting). The same happens if I choose "Block Dropbox"…
@big_a_starwarrior: I tried to delete the post on Facebook but I can't. Deletions fails every time I try. No problem on Twitter though.
@flinx1: Our families can't reach us personally but they could leave a message at the hotel(s) and then we would call them immediately. Just like 10 years ago when nobody used mobile phones abroad because roaming fees would have ruined you.
I/we go off the grid everytime me and my wife are on vacation. Our phones, computers, etc. stay at home and we only visit an Internet Cafe maybe once a week tops to send a few words home. Only books and mp3-players (dumb ones, music-only - no iPod Touch) are allowed. It's like freeing up a part of your brain that's…
@djbender: If you own a HTC HD2 I think you can even triple boot as it is the first device to support three OSes: Windows Mobile, Android and Ubuntu. Windows Phone 7 is also on its way for the phone.
@Archaotic: Hah, the "Sorry, not available" is actually 9 sec. long so I'll stick with that.
