Just follow the last tip and you'll be in app space heaven - forget about the other tips (they are good but no longer necessary then). I took only 512mb from my 8gb SD card for the A2SD+ partition and after a few months of intensive use and lots of installs I still got 230mb left.

@TheTwoWolves: Hm ... seems like that fixed it. I changed my index directory and my data directories and now it finds what I want. Kind of strange though that I have to make my files readable for everyone on a supposed mulit-user-system like 7.

@sammysoul: Yeah, tried that, too. Nothing. After looking into the matter again today I found out that I got "Incorrect permissions on Windows Search directories - not fixed" like mentioned at [social.technet.microsoft.com] - but no solution is given. I moved the index to a new location, permissions are correct

@Dodge2002: "a garden of pure ideology"? Sounds like the AppStore to me ... and the guy on the screen bears a stunning resemblence to a certain CEO. Hmmm....

@dohtem: It's 45 min instead of 21 so costs will definitely be higher per episode. Also the cast must have cost A LOT (Matthew Perry, Amanda Peet, Bradley Whitford, and Steven Weber - just to name the most expensive ones). And on top of all that it's a series by Aaron Sorkin and more complex than the usual. Not the

@GeicoCaveman: I never understood why Studio 60 was cancelled and 30Rock continued ... seeing now that The Office is even higher rated than 30Rock I finally get it: quality is often inversely proportional to ratings.

@ellemdee: I just checked a second time and you are right: only from the start menu ... which makes it even worse. I am also no newbie and a programmer for a living (so I kind of have to know my machines) but that's a tough one. If you ever find something please come back here and drop me a line ...

@ProfitOfDoom: Thank you for your reply! I already did what you recommend several times. I even tried some weird combinations like checking only one folder in Indexing Options with two shortcuts in it so indexing it would take like 1 sec. and the result can be checked easily - still no luck and only results from the

I've got a problem with the windows search: no matter what folders I use as indexed locations I end up getting results only from my start menu and from my documents folder (the default locations I think). Even if I exclude those two from being indexed.

I learned how to lead countries until I gain world domination (Civilisation I-V, Medieval II: Total War, etc.).

If only there was a way to access SkyDrive from my Android phone ...

Tortelloni (filled with cheese) - 2 min. in hot water and they are done. I serve it with a Pesto Rosso (ready made from the store) which I don't need to heat at all but simply put on the Tortelloni. Most of the time I also add tomato slices and Mozarella cheese with a dressing of Balsamico Vinegar and olive oil as a

@Super Happy Hats!: You are right. Facebook uses PHP so they should add your line of code ... but maybe it's not that easy with an infrastructure like their's (the storage system for media files is called Haystack, I think).

I just discovered a nice tool on the market (I am not affiliated with it in any way): Colors [www.appbrain.com] - you can set a solid color as a wallpaper quite easily now! So if you gave up on adjusting images to android give it a try. It's free.

@zzznowihate: Really? So no matter what skin color the person has the color of the palm is always a good color to use as a reference? Or only for a nerdish basement-gray skin (would be my chance)?

For a great wallpaper trick on your Android (and LauncherPro) jump over to [forum.xda-developers.com] - it's the scrolling wallpaper dock.

I took the leap and flashed a Desire HD ROM on my Desire a while ago. Great ROM! Everything is slightly smaller than the old Sense but still perfectly readable - so no need for a density hack anymore. But the camera doesn't work so I went back to a regular Desire ROM.

@Mickets: normally I use a zip file with password for all the stuff. You are right: leaving them unencrypted and readable for everyone in the cloud is not the smartest idea.

VOTE: Daemon Tools Lite

I always have a scan of my passport, tickets, some documents, etc. saved as an email draft in GMail whenever I travel. If something gets lost it's good to have all the IDs saved in one place.
