@Derek Slenk: and @EClaus: I have an HTC Desire and use a pre-rooted stock FroYo: [forum.xda-developers.com] with init.d support plus add-ons like A2SD+ which also moves the dalvic cache to the SD and a compressed dalvic cache mod.

Here's the ultimate tip for a lot of memory on your Android: A2SD+ and Cache2SD. You'll need root and a custom ROM but it's so worth it. My stats currently:
What's that nice battery widget in the last picture? And the brightness one next to it?
While this tip is really great I still prefer [www.mailinator.com] for such scenarios. Just subscribe to the RSS feed of your spam address of choice and you even have an inbox (well, in GReader). Or use a Feed2Mail service to have it in your real inbox.
Great! Looking for a quick and easy way to send links to my wife's computer for a while now. Emailing, IMing, or a bookmark service always is a step to much. This seems perfect.
@DoggyStyles: The list isn't mine, I found it in a comment on Lifehacker a while ago. So I can't submit it there as I don't know if the developer can/wants to meet the prerequisits for submissions.
@bokscutter: You can use HostsMan [lifehacker.com] for really easy hosts file management on Windows. It even has a tiny webserver so you don't get time-outs on requests but simply an empty answer.
I use adblock for getting rid of this stalking like-button from Facebook. Just add [dev.mathiasbaert.be] to your filter subscriptions and you're good.
@ReverendDexter: I have a computer with multiple gigabytes and normally I am not that shy about using them but Chrome seems somewhat over the top for me. Having the browser running in the background while playing a game actually reduces the gaming performance noticably while FireFox does not. Especially when minimized…
@progoth: honestly I just took the exe with the most usage and took that value. So there's a chance it's even higher because 19 processes where neglcted.
I think I would switch to Chrome because of a few really great features but:
@xemino: I prefer Call Meter NG because of its big bar graphs. It's your second link.
@Nigra: Yeah, same here :-(.
@b4rk13: Yep. Absolutely!
@Nikolai Ormazablev: Same here. I tried switching to Chrome several time because it has some really nice features and great speed but it uses WAY more RAM than Firefox - up to "too much" RAM.
I just love Quick System Info [www.appbrain.com] because it's maybe the only one showing A2SD (classic, not FroYo) space. It has no widget but I don't care for that. A widget always means more battery consuption, too, and I don't need the info that often so it's a good deal for me.
I am looking for a file encryption app on Android - something like TrueCrypt. It should be able to encrypt and decrypt files on the phone so I can work with them on the go. And at best if I select a file for encryption the original unencrypted file should be deleted and only the encrypted one be kept. It's absolutely…
@Jimmy From The Block: Eclipse has at least Subversion support, code completion, and is free. Don't know about Code Igniter code completion though. Over at EasyEclipse they got a complete package for PHP on OSX: [www.easyeclipse.org] - just give it a try.
Great post! Thanks!
@Zach Zampetti: If you look into the modding communities they try to make the iPhone look like Android, Android look like the iPhone, WinMobile look like Android and now Android look like Windows Phone 7. Maybe I forgot some combinations. It's basically "the grass is greener on the other side" with digital grass all…
