I gave up buying some software and accessories one day because I stood there for about 10 minutes and nobody came over to check me out. I just lied my things down next to an iMac and walked out. They needed a simple checkout kiosk. No questions there, just here's the barcode, here's my credit card, thank you sir

I think the worst part is the probably very dirty ridge between the cheeks...

He had surgery to fix it.

Maybe not so much the Dell promised as the US government will pay a lot more to do a special run in the US, Canada, or other trade agreement country (i.e. not China).

Because real images don't look as good. I won't argue the merits of space pictures, because I love pictures of space. Just sayin'.

I'd like to see that, too, next year. Like it or not, it's history, and it (along with carrier custom skins) is one of the reasons why at least 10 people I know switched from an Android phone to an iPhone.

Also, let's get rid of the penny. That mooch has been hanging around for too long.

The key to success of a $1 coin is a $2 coin.

You can always turn off data tracking on your phone. Or at least you should be able to (that's under investigation with Apple and Google I believe). If you consent to using location services on your phone, the TOS (most likely, I haven't read every word) allow the service to turn over the information to law

Xethor is correct. Data. If you turned off mobile data and wifi on your phone, there'd be no record GPS record. Also if you turned off location services, supposedly.

The Samsung Fascinate running Android 2.1(?) uses sliding a puzzle piece into an empty slot to unlock the phone. Also I think for answering calls.

But the patent system is broken. If Apple didn't patent it, Google or Microsoft probably would and then they'd sue the other companies. While it would be nice to just "leave it well enough alone", the system itself makes it disadvantageous to do so.

My money's on Vegas. They're clearly highlighting the V by stylizing it, and the "FIVE" is the same (enough) font used on the five-dolla bill. Even before I thought about "V for Vegas", my first thought just from the style was "Las Vegas." Plus, look at Vegas as a setting: good freeways, great layout, close

Orbit. At some point it has to go SW to NE. Then W to E. Then NW to SE. Here's the first result from Google which explains:

I thought they were all already "smushed".

I for some reason cringe when I hear people refer it to "Ice Cream Sandwich". Maybe it's too many words for a product name. I call it Android 4.0. Same with OS X. Sounds weird saying "Lion" now. I guess it's lost its lustre to me. Maybe Gizmodo should start the trend and refer to it as its name, version number,

I'll bet that 100% of those teens also ate fruits and vegetables. So, vegetables cause violence in a portion of the population? We need to ban them immediately. I can be a "scientist" too.

Good point.

I switched from Android (Droid 2) to iOS (4S) and am completely happy with that choice. Keeping in mind that everyone is allowed a personal preference based on needs, what kind of things would you like in iOS? Just look and feel? Features? I'd actually really like to know.

Ties are ridiculously outdated and dumb. I can tie only a simple tie, enough to just get it done and go to work. Plus I have this perhaps crazy fear of somebody grabbing me by it maliciously.
