This is tangential, but takes me back to the fact that evangelical Christian film and literature is just.so.bad, again because it latches itself to this level of moral thought.

That’s the danger of having a religious system that primarily engages people on the preconventional stages of Kohlberg’s moral development.

No it hasn’t. Ethnic cleansing means to remove from an area, through systematic killings or other means in contravention of international law. Genocide means the attempted extermination of an entire group period. They mean different (albeit closely related) things!

Always ask “states’ right to do what?”

Would you assess that couple as being able to overpower and sexually assault you if they had wanted to?

It doesn’t! That’s why I added that “primarily” as a modifier!

Question: was the person intimidating in size to the average man and catcalling with a stone face, or was it a smaller guy “playing it up” gay?

I am unfamiliar with these videos. Was the dynamic like the one I described, a hyper masculine gay man who probably had the physical wherewithal to assault you if he wanted to with minimal harm? That’s the dynamic I’m getting at to try to create a parallel.

Well but it would insert the danger/fear factor that may be lacking.

The interesting one would be to get a 6 ft. 4, 240lb gay man to catcall them and see what happens.

Not necessarily at the beginning, that’s the whole point.

Ummm, but what about social constructivism?

The analogy I like to throw out:

Interesting tangential reading:

“a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their ineptitude”

“Grandpa, you fought against what?”

Tangentially related, the hilarity of people making 400k and claiming to be middle class:
