I hadn't heard about the name change. That is really funny. The game itself is a blast for a highly thematic dexterity game.
There have been a lot board game adaptations of more recent video games lately - Gears of War, Starcraft (which is out of print and fetches big bucks), and Uncharted to name three more. I can't vouch for any of them or how closely they resemble the games. I've also seen that The Witcher is getting a board game soon.
Check out what FILMCRITHULK had to say about Denise Richards in TWINE. Makes a good point that anyone playing that role may not have been given much.
On the plus side, Super Time Force is now available for PC.
always and forever Bonney Teti.
This description is one of the best that I've heard of the Hotline: Miami experience. The moment the rush stopped (even when stopping for pizza or sushi), the weight of what you've just done sets in.
How do you feel about Alien Frontiers vs. Castles of Burgundy vs. Kingsburg vs. Troyes?
I killed two of my friends persistent characters in our second round because I played a red arrow when I should've played blue and it led our best laid plans awry. We would've had a flawless victory instead. I love how thin the margins are in that game.
Board games. I hope to get in some Sentinels of the Multiverse, maybe a game of Escape the Cursed Temple, and if I'm really lucky, something a little heavier like Hansa Teutonica.
Cool. Thanks for the heads up.
Most of my games are packed up because I'm moving soon. So that means the only things I'll have a chance to play are Hanabi and Love Letter since they are the two that aren't packed.
Enjoy the tabletop action! How do you think Forbidden Desert compares to Forbidden Island, if you've played both?
I'm loving that they worked a giant novelty check into each one of these videos for no apparent reason. Are they trying to start a new meme to generate even more page views?
and with EVO, so many other viewing options to check in on this weekend.
Rough road ahead is a free print and play expansion that ups the difficulty nicely once you feel like the base game isn't challenging enough.
Enjoy Galaxy Trucker. Do you have any of the alternative ship layouts that come out in the most recent expansion or big box version of of the game?
I feel like Greek Mythology as an IP is very under-themed. Off the top of my head, I can only think of Venture Forth as a game that takes place in that world. I also thought that game was terrible.
I'll likely get a chance to play Innovation this weekend, which I've come to enjoy as a two player game quite a bit. Maybe a solo game of Sentinels of the Multiverse or Friday.
I would suggest giving Kemet a try. Similar to Cyclades but with an Egyptian theme and less game-swinging abilities. Each time I have played it's been close!
