It’s weird to say, but it’s most likely young teens. I’ve been on the internet since I was a kid and I googled some strange things when I was around  age 12 or so. I wouldn’t be surprised if Fortnite or Minecraft is a form of awakening for the next generation. Hell, I was introduced to internet porn through Left 4

This show is done in mo-cap. Which is live action. So there’s no 2D or 3D in it.

That’s personally what I like about it. I’ve always wanted to try the Eldritch Horror board game, but never had the guts to commit to buying it if I didn’t know I was going to like such a brutal and time-consuming game. This cheap, digital, automated version is perfect for me, and it’s got an aesthetic I like to boot!

Is THAT what that FFVII ad means? I’ve seen that floating around before and I never understood the joke.

Seeing game journalists compare this gamemode to Mario Party made me really excited at first, but after looking into it, I’m disappointed. I was hoping to have some sort of Mario Party bloodsport mode to play with my friends, but instead it’s like Spirit mode from Smash Ultimate.

The “boomer” part refers to a meme from a few years ago called the “30-Year-Old Boomer” which referred to dudes in their 30s who act like boomers when referring to things from their childhood. It eventually became synonymous with people who talk about retro shooters online and now “boomer shooter” is the common term

I tried Mythforce during the most recent Next Fest and found it painfully boring. I really like the look of it, but it plays like molasses, in both level pacing and controls. It’s structured almost identically to Gunfire Reborn, another similar 4-player co-op roguelike, but with melee/magic weapons instead of

They could probably do it. FFVII Remake didn’t have a day-one patch when it launched, which shocked me at the time. I just had to install the files from the disc to start playing.

I don’t know if you’ve played BOTW, but those mushroom things in the screenshot are pretty far away. Look at how vibrant Link’s blue tunic is in comparison, and it’s much closer to the camera. I’ll admit the game doesn’t have as vibrant of a color palette as something like Skyward Sword, but it’s not as dull in-game as

Artist here. The screenshots shown in this image are showing things that are very far away. This “washed-out” effect happens in real life, too. Things that are further away are obstructed by the atmosphere, and causes colors to fade.

It’s pure nostalgia. I’m a zoomer who was introduced to retro games at a young age, so I’ve got more of a tolerance to older games than most people my age. Despite that, I just cannot get into Goldeneye. The mission objectives of the singleplayer mode are super cryptic and clunky, and the splitscreen multiplayer

The main complaint I’ve seen for the game is the cringy Joss-Whedon dialogue. As a game, most people have been saying that it’s “meh”. I doubt many people will remember it after a couple of months.

Interesting to hear. I might be part of the target audience for a film adaptation then. I always found adaptations like HBO’s Last of Us series kind of redundant, but now I kind of get it, since a DS movie would be covering something I don’t intend to play.

Agreed. Only simpletons find anime trope drivel like this “compelling”. I’m a very casual player of Genshin. I enjoy the game for its exploration and combat, but it’s a BIG stretch to say the storytelling is “good” and “mature”, even by generic anime standards (which isn’t a high bar).

Genuine question to those who finished Death Stranding: Is the world and story of the game really worth doubling down on these new projects?

I know it’s icky of me to say, but it’s probably mostly kids searching that up, same with Fortnite and Roblox. A friend of mine told me that she saw “minecraft boobs” in her younger brother’s search history when he was probably just 6 or 7.

I second this. I fell out of love with D&D because I got sick of how long-winded and bloated the sessions can be. Granted, I was playing with DMs who were sticklers for the rules, but if playing by the rules of a game isn’t fun, then what’s the point in playing it?

I generally agree with this article, but as both a Deck and Switch owner, I’ve discovered that there are strengths of both.

This is good news. To the folks getting defensive about this, there’s some context you’re missing:
Some folks at Anime Expo Chibi were mass-generating low effort “waifus and selling prints of them. The rule being enacted by Anime Los Angeles is gonna be combatting stuff like this. Of course AI art is sometimes

I was raised by my PC gamer father who used to host his own LAN parties with his friends in the late 90s and early 2000s. Now I carry torch with my own LAN Parties with my buddies. It’s the only time of the year where I get them to play Quake with me...
