I can tell you what the restaurant owner is definitely not offering - money for doing nothing. But that’s what he’s competing with, and his competitor has no cost constraints whatsoever. They just print more money if they run out.  He’s not on a level playing field.

This was a bit eye-opening for me. My total is just under $350k, primarily driven by my automotive ADHD. It took 23 cars over 28 years to get me there, at an average of around $15k.

We had a 1900 wagon when I was a young kid, and I remember living with constant anxiety because of its unreliability.

Do other cars really come with these? Out of 20+ vehicles I’ve owned, I’ve only seen them with the BMWs. Actually used one once to keep my X3 from going over the edge of a very steep and icy driveway.

Check out the leasehackr forums.

Bolts, Leafs, Kona Electrics, Ioniq Electrics - all of these have crazy lease offers right now. Maybe even an i3.

Western Washington residents are already fleeing for Idaho, especially Boise, in droves. Just check the house prices there.

You might actually find an i3 comfortable. But there’s lots of reasons not to get one of those.

I like animals well enough, but I will 100% kill anything that comes after my family without hesitation. I just hope I would have the presence of mind to grab the cat and toss it like that guy did.

If you have it cornered, it wouldn’t be that hard to hit. And since you’re shooting downward, the risk to others is reduced. The way that guy pulled the gun, it looks like he knows what he’s doing.

I owned a Sequoia from this era (same powertrain for the most part) and have an FJ Cruiser now. The serviceability is true across every Toyota product I’ve wrenched on. I would hug any Toyota engineer I meet.

I had a dirtbike trailer in college that fit 3 bikes, but folded in half and stood upright on casters when not needed. It was easy to store and load. Towed it with a lowered Maxima, which got a few strange looks.

The hybrid has it’s own problems, especially in hot climates.  They’re not terribly difficult to remedy, but they exist.  I replaced a blend door actuator for the battery on my friends’ son’s Escape to exorcise some demons.

My teenage son’s friend has one of these, and he has no problem securing a date every weekend.

I’ve had both a C-Max and a Prius.  The C-Max might not be fast, but it blows the doors off a Prius.  I can’t think of a better car for the OP.

Anybody who tries to get you to ride in the back of an IS is not your friend.

My cousin named his daughter Camree. He’s cursed her to a life of mediocrity.

Man Jerry Reed could sure pick a guitar.

I had blocked out that I was given one of these as a rental when my car was in for insurance repairs.  I hated every single thing about it, and beat on it as punishment for existing.  And that was when it was new.

I’ve seen a couple of Bronco Sports in person now. Not the vehicle I’d be considering at 6’2”/230, especially if I was putting child seats in the back.
