Just spent 8 days in its Prado sibling on all kinds of adventure, and was thoroughly impressed. This is a very capable and dependable vehicle, that’s also very comfortable.

That’s a bummer - I’m not sure if anyone makes a taller one but it really made the job go fast. My swim platform is removable which helped a lot. You could come from the side, but that won’t solve the height problem. My engineer neighbor wanted to build a wood structure, and I’m sure that would’ve worked just fine but

My full size truck has almost 400 hp and does 0-60 in around 6 seconds. I have a full size SUV that’s even a little quicker though it “only” has 365 hp, and my slowest car will hit 60 in under 8 seconds. I share this only for reference.

Just get this:

I almost did this when I swapped the engine in my boat.  I discovered that I could rent a towable engine hoist with a 10' maximum height for $55, which worked extremely well.  It’s a lot easier to move the hoist than to move the boat.

Lobo > F150, no question.

Every BMW product I’ve owned let me select dash and defrost at the same time. Each zone has its own button, you just push all the ones you want.

Honestly, I think it’s a wise practice for Tesla as long as other OEMs keep playing the old school game. If you’ve started shopping by looking at EV reviews and manufacturer websites, and you see that a Bolt starts at $36,500 and a Model 3 starts at $37,500, you’re never even going to consider a Bolt. The difference

It’s the same with any new car, except Tesla’s more transparent about it.  With anybody else, you’re just trying to figure out when they’ll have the best rebates and programs.  The truck I leased in November would be 50% more today, but who knows what next month will bring?

Torch’s ID.4 review even listed the Model Y LR at $48,900. This is just being unwilling to do even minimal research on a Reuters report that clearly doesn’t make sense.

I have a hard time supporting an AMG or M anything for someone looking for 8 years of reliability, even though those both would be great to drive.

My dad started letting me drive occasionally when I was 13, and once I got my permit at 15 I drove everywhere I went. So I was a pretty confident 16 year old showing up to take the license test in my manual Ford Probe, on my birthday of course. At least, until the instructor informed me that his supervisor would be

One of my all-time favorites, a truly timeless design. Looks like it’s worth every penny. I don’t understand the cat removal, but should be easy to reverse. I think the wheels are a great fit, and the taillights should have looked like that from the beginning.

I used to have an ‘05 Mini Cooper, and I live somewhere with a higher than average concentration of full-size trucks and SUVs (I have both). I decided just to park the Mini further back in a parking space as a public service. Kept me from curbing the front too.

For some reason, I still remember having a dream when I was 8 where I had a white Fiero as my first car, and I picked up the little girl in my class I had a crush on. My young brain for some reason also put a transparent red bug deflector on the car, but I’ve forgiven myself.

Neutral: I tried to get my family to refer to my wife’s white QX56 as “Moby Dick”, but never got any traction.

I’ve actually always liked the styling on these, and I think there’s a legitimate, if limited, use case. I think Ford really dropped the ball by not making the interior as special as the exterior though.

The last car I bought at a dealership was actually very pleasant. I had watched it (a used vehicle) in their inventory, and figured out when it hit what I thought was the low price as it aged. It was a great deal, so there wasn’t much haggling to do, and they didn’t fight me on all the “no’s” in the finance office.

I recently leased a Ram 1500, and never once set foot in the selling dealership. I got nearly all the way to the deal on their website, did a little bit of back and forth via text and Zoom, then signed it all via Docusign once we had agreement. It was in another state, so they brought the truck to the airport where I

1st Gear:  Should I be seeing Mach E’s on the road already?  I haven’t seen a single one yet.  I was even in Seattle last weekend where I would guess there’d be a bunch.
