The 24-hour test drive is the key to being able to offer 30 days to return. Most people will figure out in the first 24 hours if they don’t like a car, and then you don’t have all the paperwork to undo.

You have no idea what I can afford. But that ignorance aside, here’s a couple of points of math that you may not consider:

I’ve done the math, all of it. My leased ‘21 truck will cost me less drive over 3 years than buying a used ‘18. In fact, when I lease another truck for 3 more years, it will STILL cost me less than if I kept that ‘18, which would then be almost 10 years old.  And that doesn’t even account for the fact that at the end

I’d get a couple of them, and let my kids run around the neighborhood in them like other people do with golf carts.

My Expedition is actually remarkably easy to park, and it’s even the EL version. It’s the narrow roads and alleyways that really had me thinking.

And the biggest car I could rent in Ireland.

Sequoias are cheaper than Tundras and every bit as good, with the added benefit of a spacious indoor cargo area for the dog, once you take the 3rd row out or flip up to the side. Plus, you can roll the back window down so he can stick his head out on a nice day. A 4Runner would probably fit the bill too, but they’re

I drove a rental Qashqai in Europe, which felt huge on their roads, was constantly thinking how it would be impossible to drive my Expedition there. I’m impressed.

My in-laws had one of those they bought new, which I still don’t understand. It took them over 10 years to get to 80k miles, because a) they hated driving it and b) it was usually broken. That’s also how long it took them to finally admit they didn’t like it. I think they may have abandoned it somewhere.

My brother-in-law bought a couple of large travel trailers with the main purpose of renting them out, but still has to move them significant distances from time to time. He thought he could use a half ton because the total weight of 11,000 lbs should be in range, but I explained to him that 1700+ lbs of tongue weight

This is going to make me sound like an old man and that’s ok.

If you have 2 kids, and need to occasionally bring extra kids OR throw yours in the back so grandma and grandpa can sit in the middle, 3 row CUVs are OK. But barely room for a stroller with the 3rd row up.

Dollar Tree runs a different model than the other two. They hold to the $1 price point, and thrive on things like cheap party supplies. They can do really well in all income areas, including in the Walmart parking lot like you say. They tend to have more employees in the store and better service than DG and FD.

Dollar General thrives in poor urban neighborhoods where many don’t have cars and buy what they need on a daily basis, and rural areas where there isn’t a Walmart close by. Mitsubishi thrives on bad credit and limited alternatives, a new car option for somebody who probably should buy used. Comparison is apt.

Just got a new Ram, looked hard at Tacoma and Tundra. A downsized version of the Ram would be a revelation vs a Tacoma in driving experience and interior quality.

It never occurred to me that my dog has a navel.  Part of me wants to go look now, and part of me wants to be ignorant forever.  I’ll probably struggle with this most of the day.

This is the worst one.  Well played.

That’s actually not terrible.  Pointless, but not aesthetically disturbing.

Currently have 4 in the fleet:

You should definitely paint the centers of those to match your favorite under glow color.
