Cambiocorsa = automatic ND from me every time.  This is getting close to Granturismo money, which is much prettier and better in every way.

On the regional question - I bought my truck out of state so I could get an option package they only offered in one region. It was at least $3k cheaper than it would have cost to get the same options a la carte, and they wouldn’t actually let me build it anyway. Coupled with more aggressive dealers in that region, I

Easily the coolest van in pop culture history.  Would love to have it.  LS swap to make it go as good as it looks.

Tahoe was close, this is better:

I think a lot of this is people putting HIDs or LEDs in headlight housings that weren’t designed for them. They’re so cheap now in the aftermarket that it’s become pretty prevalent. They don’t necessarily even illuminate better, but they are brighter and usually the beam pattern is all jacked up. Had a 1st gen

I test drove one a couple of years ago on a whim when I was shopping for a teen car. Lower miles and cleaner than this one, and it still drove like absolute garbage. I believe they are actually fairly capable off road, but on road was pure misery. I’m sure you can get a lot of miles out of them, based on the whole “GM

These guys seem like cartoon villians. Great clip.

Not an interesting car to me in any way, but one of the least janky non-M E46s I’ve seen of late. If this scratches your itch, seems like a solid price.

Neutral: 3 of my 4 vehicles have full-sized spares. I still keep a goo/pump kit in my wife’s car because there is no way she’s going to be able to lift that 20" wheel/truck tire combo by herself. I’ve actually used that spare twice.

I’ve debadged a few cars, and always remove all dealer identification. The debate I had with my latest purchase was the “Off-Road 4x4" decals on the sides of my truck bed. I ended up taking them off, and am not sad about it. Now to flip my tires around so the white letters are on the inside.

Current Ram owner. That badge is the low point of the exterior, but it’s recessed in the tailgate in such a way that it has to stay. I plasti-dipped mine black, and I’m doing the letters and the recesses in body color to at least try and minimize it visually.

A few months ago I rented a similar vintage F150 in a small town in Idaho, to haul a rented drift boat. This one was a Supercab with a gas I6, in excellent condition and low miles. Somebody’s farm chore truck I’m sure.

I’ve driven a few new 4Runners as rentals with the 4.0, and for whatever reason it just feels a lot better than the 3.5 Tacoma to me.  But I would take the engine in any full-size truck, or the Ranger, over either Toyota motor.  Haven’t driven the Colorado so I can’t speak to that one.

I paid $10k for my FJ Cruiser 2 years ago.  I wouldn’t take $13k for it right now.  4Runners are the same.

This.  I really don’t understand why someone would buy a lightly used Tacoma over a new one.  The math is bad.

I strongly considered a Tacoma TRD Sport with a stick. It was the only smaller truck I considered, and only made the list because of the manual availability. I was probably two minutes into a test drive before I ruled that out for good. It’s just not a happy powertrain combo, and I definitely wouldn’t want tow my boat

My point was just to show an idea of his net income, and that it would probably be better than if he spent the same time driving for Lyft once you back out the expenses. Believe me, when my son started feeling rich with all of his newfound income, we went through a typical budget so that he could understand just how

Even so, I think with fuel, maintenance, repairs, insurance, and depreciation he’s going to make quite a bit less than $13/hour taxes included.  It gets worse when you start to think about things like worker’s comp.

I live in the Phoenix suburbs. Most of the entry-level jobs here can’t hire fast enough.  My son has gotten two jobs texting listings he found while in class.

Very true.  Many of them came back, but our jobs were harder so they didn’t always last long.  Once you’ve tasted the sweet life...
