One thing that might be useful to to compare the NPD-PD numbers to the same time period last year. Sales are seasonal so comparing them month to month seems slightly less useful than comparing them to the same time last year.

This just shows the ever widening gap between Japanese video games and American video games to me. Most of the characters in the link are unrecognizable to me (including the main pick Monster Hunter people) despite owning all the major consoles, a PC, and reading several video-game focused blogs and forums in my off…
@Katorok: And in your mind they're delaying the release of a game because... they hate you?
And you are to blame, Kotaku. You and the Internets...
@Polite Society: It makes perfect sense if you read it the way I meant it rather than the way I wrote it. :P Yes, I meant 18+ but Kotaku lacks an edit button and I lack reading comprehension apparently.
I kinda hope WoW isn't given a rating in Australia if and when they get around to rating the MMOs. That way Activision-Blizzard could throw some weight around and actually get a 15+ rating to exist.
@eboku: I hope they meant he was one of the top guilds on all the servers. Being in the lower half of the top ten guilds on an individual server isn't really that much of an accomplishment.
@drownedphoniex: Yeah, looks like it's expanded versus condensed settings. Still considering I like expanded moving it behind a break and/or killing auto-play would be a good thing in my mind.
Autoplay on the main page of Kotaku? Really Brian?
@-MasterDex-: What, you mean like all of them? The man's been putting a new scarf on a model and calling it a new character for two decades now.
@ShineyBlueShoes: I think you're confusing things. This... version? Vision? Wet dream? Whatever, the fan-made model is certainly more sexually appealing for most than the original Valve created HL2 model. That said the Valve model is a better video game character; more realistically proportioned, more believable in…
If Sony pushes out a PS2 game for download that's playable on a current PS3s system I am going to be mighty pissed if I can't put the same PS2 game's hard copy in the slot and play it on my PS3.
That... yeah, that sounds like a jRPG alright.
"Ozzy Osbourne? Endorsing Wrath of the Lich King? Yeah, it has the possibility of hitting the thirty-six to fifty-five demographic, the irony of it will get us into play with the hipster communities and the absurdity of it will get us free ad time on hundreds of blogs and twenty-four hour news stations."
@PITwelve: I suggest World War Z by Max Brooks. :)
@EdwinNumski: In answer, yes this was most definitely not on expert, and probably not on advanced difficulty. On either of those difficulties the guy running way ahead of his squad would be dead or dying within ten seconds or so.
After playing the demo myself I think a lot of the appeal of this game is how much you enjoy 70s zombie flicks. If you got a lot of the jokes in Shawn of the Dead or enjoyed reading World War Z you'll probably enjoy the game. If you've no idea what those are it might be best for you to stay away.
Bah, I can think of quite a few board games that cost more than $250, especially if you include expansions.
@Sensai: The problem is that doesn't work because when referring to the whole of the DS products we call it Nintendo DS. So Nintendo DS means the original DS, DS Lite, and DSi (as in "I have a Nintendo DS game"). So when we actually need to differentiate between the various DS forms, DS Phat is an easy way to refer to…
@1nut: Oh, who the hell gives a damn? Take the fanboy rivalry in either direction and STFU.
