It's, at the very least, a camera that's connected to the Internet via a device you have limited control over. of course the capability is there.

Actually, there's a trait you can get on a sim in The Sims 3 (eye candy I believe, though that could be wrong) that makes anyone sparkle.

@dormin: 1. It would add a vaguely worded standard that would put the ultimate decision of which video games could be sold to what age group in the hands of the government. This is not regulating M or AO rated games, this is regulating all games and you're just hoping whoever is making the decision would agree with

@JGab: Your initial point, that of the ESRB not having any teeth, is horse s***. The Federal Trade Commission itself found that "the video game industry continues to do an excellent job of clearly and prominently disclosing rating information in television, print, and Internet advertising and on product packaging"

@Plainswalker22: "As far as I'm concerned, so long as the law only applies rules to the M-Rated games that are already being restricted for sale to minors will I approve."

@MidnightMarvel: As I understand it, not being a lawyer and all:

As this blog post from Australia points out, subjective decisions about how old a person, real or imaginary, looks lead to both idiotic and oppressive actions by governments.

@Altima NEO: GDC never seemed like the convention for swag to me, what with there being no public passes.

I'm slightly confused; I registered for PAX East early September, so these have been on sale for a while. Why is this article being made now? #paxeast2010

@(Zombie) D Mitsuki, Gotta have guts kid!: No, because it seems to me the article is basing it on culture much more than race or gender. It might be right, it might be wrong, but it certainly isn't racist or sexist.

Blizzcon is one of the single best targeted marketing campaigns in existence. It's so good they get their target demographic to pay them in order to get in. And that's ignoring the fact that they've basically slotted themselves a month long media blitz every single year from the money they've put into Blizzcon.

@CustomFirmware: Er, it might have something to do with the article stating "a passerby on their way to the local farmer's market called 911 saying that they thought they saw someone walking down the street with an AK-47"

@Pilote.de.Ciel: BLU-ray probably has a good deal to do with Sony leading in HDTV owners (either the reality or perception, I don't know if your feeling is true even if I share it). I know one of the reasons I got a PS3 after my 360 was because it had a BLU-ray player and the few of my friends who have a PS3 got it

@Jon: This AK-47 fully-automatic assault rifle is NOT for "killing." I know many who simply hang AKs on their walls or are holding them as an investment.

@Estel: Great minds high five!
