I'm reading Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy for the first time and there's a Control, who's actually quite Control-like. Every time he's referenced I think of Camryn Manheim.

I'm very concerned about that. Finch is her guardian. What's going to happen if he's a goner? Poor kiddo.
The whole "we work in secret" thing is a killer.
Recalled Finch's words to Control about Shaw's sacrifice at the Stock Exchange without anyone knowing about what she'd done or who she was.
By the end of the Root and Harold scenes, I ended up with a really strong Wings of Desire vibe from MachineRoot. Sitting in witness to everyone's pain.
We all have very subjective views on the "fitting" end for people, who should have been there, said that, and I know a lot of people would have preferred to see something more romantic or supposedly meaningful but I found it realistically odd and heartfelt that it was Lionel who found Root at the hospital. And who…
Plus, judging by the tweets in the hashtag, there's been an uptick in new viewers in response to the final season hype. I quite enjoy reading people livetweeting as they work through the earlier seasons. It would be fun to discuss the episodes with POI novices in this forum.
Bear's with Leon. Or Zoe. Or Gen. Off screen.
Very glad I never watched Lost. Happy with Harold-Harold. Don't need Ben-Harold.
I love Shaw calling them lame even as they are holding guns on her.
Yeah. Another great shades-of-gray character. Ruthless and dangerous but in service of her country. AND when she realized she'd been wrong, she tried to set it right.
If only she'd just killed Greer instead of stopping to monologue. As pointed out by several last week: never stop and do a monologue!
Shahi's been turning in some really strong performances. I've always like her and found her fun to watch in other things but as Shaw, I think she's just gotten stronger and stronger as an actress.
I'm glad they didn't retcon her "wiring" — her emotional response and opening up to Root in the immediate-post-escape…
"the idea that good acts live beyond you and stretch and continue and
outlive you, so that when you're gone your change, your influence—your
existence lives on beyond you."
a la the Thomas Midgely story.
I think most people remember him because James Carpinello happens to be Mr. Amy Acker.
Not that he's not talented in his own right but he's mostly known for his work in theater. He's also sort of ridiculously good looking despite the jarhead haircut he was rocking in this episode.
Lamest perps ever.
Maybe we are just supposed to believe they've been working w/ and communicating w/Root all along. Kind of like Root and Shaw having sex since Season 3. Off screen.
Did anyone go to the ATX event today w/Plageman and Nolan? Some of the TV critics there livetweeted. P&N did mention there was no time/room for bringing back Zoe or Control but I didn't see any mention of the hackers
So say we all
the student= Sunita Mani, aka "Trenton" from Mr. Robot.
Also think Root absolutely knew her time was running out, and that drove her final conversations with Shaw and Finch.
