It is. And it goes against the principles one learns in J School. This thirst for access has polluted sports reporting and it’s sunk its teeth into politics. Just look at the groveling the big media companies did when Trump first got elected. They went to Trump Tower and practically threw themselves at him.

I had this same experience in Iceland.  Because it’s a big hub to the rest of Europe (mostly because Iceland Air is pretty cheap for Euro traveling), there are specific areas for people using Iceland as a first stopover.  Customs was a breeze.

I didn’t see Indonesia or Saudi Arabia on his ban list.  Two big predominant Muslim countries.

They are not enforcing anything nor can they.  It’s just logistical support.  Still a waste of major coin tho.

I can name two wars where an organize army was no match for the average citizen.  You might not think that since an organized army has tanks, planes, and all that jazz.  But many revolutions were won by average people.
