It is. And it goes against the principles one learns in J School. This thirst for access has polluted sports reporting and it’s sunk its teeth into politics. Just look at the groveling the big media companies did when Trump first got elected. They went to Trump Tower and practically threw themselves at him.

History is history.  Or science is science.  I haven’t delved too much into it.  Alas, I’m not saying it takes away from atrocities from others.  Just saying that at some point, we humans migrated over hundreds and hundreds of years around the world.

That I did.  Oh Kinja being Kinja.

Those Native Americans came from somewhere.  Or does your history book not go back that far?

Because you talking about said interview (regardless if positive or negative) is what they want.  And they will spin that into more cash in their pocket.  See, I got eyeballs on my stuff.  Give me money!

Lot of reporters refuse to bite the hand that allows them to keep their jobs in a shrinking business.  Not to mention the subjects know the power their information has.

A white list has a lot of sites enabled.  There a ton of diff technologies that filter pretty well.  The DoD one still has FB/Twitter enabled (tho clicking links from Twitter don’t work because of the URL shortener).  That is my point.  You don’t give free reign on a work computer.

Knowing government employees, there can be plenty of downtime.  And in the government, there is always tomorrow.

I think the malware is the issue I’m more worried about.

It’s a work computer.  A white list should be enabled.

No way it even gets to this point if this was a DoD computer.  I assume other gov orgs don’t have proper security filters installed.  Which is honestly shocking.

I had this same experience in Iceland.  Because it’s a big hub to the rest of Europe (mostly because Iceland Air is pretty cheap for Euro traveling), there are specific areas for people using Iceland as a first stopover.  Customs was a breeze.

I didn’t see Indonesia or Saudi Arabia on his ban list.  Two big predominant Muslim countries.

It is prohibited.  We all know this already.  They won’t be enforcing anything.  Just providing logistics.  Or pretty much being lookouts and then calling CBP to handle the rest.

I imagine a lot of them will be doing training exercises as they would on home base.

They are not enforcing anything nor can they.  It’s just logistical support.  Still a waste of major coin tho.

According to many publications, direct quotes from DHS acknowledge this.  So the smart educated person knows this already.  The extremists don’t.

Why do you need to ask a question when everyone knows the answer?

I can name two wars where an organize army was no match for the average citizen.  You might not think that since an organized army has tanks, planes, and all that jazz.  But many revolutions were won by average people.

This is a concern.  However, I will say that because it’s only logistical support, it won’t be as bad.  They won’t be rounding up anyone.
