Get out of here. Y

You derided the car for years, now you’re making apologies to get views.

You have zero experience with DOD projects I see.

The DOD can’t keep their hands off the project and make hundreds of running changes pushing costs through the roof. It’s a DOD problem, not (completely) a supplier/contractor problem.

You’ve proved exactly my point, thanks.

The S660 stomps the Daihatsu, it’s not even close.

Front engine front wheel drive vs mid engine rear wheel drive.

No matter what happens there will always be Trump hate.

How about the massively popular Focus/Focus ST? It blow the competition out of the water in a price/performance ratio. Or the more sedate but still popular Cruze which sells around 220k per year which outsells the Focus by ~20k cars a year? The Fiesta made in Mexico sells around 58k a year for comparison.

By desirable do you mean large sales volume, or do you mean enthusiast desirable?

Because statistically they’re a very small percentage of the vehicles sold in America. You think Trump is going to press Porsche to make their cars in the US?

It’s not like BMW 7 series production was in the US and leaving. His issue is when a large number of vehicles destined for the US market, which once were built

That’s the point.

The American consumer will not be buying a car with those type of taxes.

You’ve been listening to the economists that have lead us into this hole. Obviously they’re going to continue saying NAFTA is a good deal.

It’s not that free trade is bad, it’s that the US negotiated a deal at never really served out best interests. If you read one of his books you’ll understand the message he’s

You guys really need to go check out JD Karts in Novi. It’s a much better facility with significantly better maintained cars. TDIClub has moved our yearly NAIAS event over their for good reason.

If you’re an engineer Detroit (and the suburbs) are the place to be.

There is a massive talent shortage, salaries are high in relation to cost of living, housing is inexpensive and you’re close to so many beautiful places.

Car insurance hurts but I’ve lived all over the country and I still came back to Detroit.

Nah, The real jobs are at the suppliers. The work is in Warren.

I don’t own a Leaf and I’m not an expert on the subject, but I know enough to make a reasonably informed comment.

The Leaf does not have active temperature control, this is a major downfall in extreme hot/cold conditions.

Range vs temperature:

You need to realise there are wealthy people who simply don’t have German/Japanese cars on their radar.

Have you driven one? They’re woeful. Ev’s drive great (Model S, i3, Bolt) but the Leaf feels like a wheelbarrow.

I have some experience. It’s fine, it’s no worse than a FWD v6 behind a loose torque converter. I actually think it had better torque control than any other automatic I’ve driven. Again, as always spend the money on snow tires.

Because you’ve never had a seal fail?

Behind the truck there is a large low pressure region. That causes the smoke to linger in that area. You’ll see the same thing in the winter if you watch the water vapor from a (gas) vehicle’s exhaust.

Ok, so $5 paypal’d my way if it’s turbocharged? Another $5 if it’s north of 875 horsepower?
