People are not going to post what’s really going on regarding internal development and quality concerns. You need to talk with people face to face, like we do every single day, to know what’s actually going on.
The block is plenty stout, it’s the internals that have some fundamentals that need revision for this type of…
I talked to the right people at lunch, it’s not AWD as I originally suspected.
You know what’s up. I’m in the industry too, these guys have no idea what actually goes on in OE testing.
They don’t last at those power levels. Talk to someone who does failure analysis for FCA or an engine component supplier.
It’s not AWD :-(
I have a strong feeling this motor will not be supercharged. They’ve gone to turbos.
I know more about this than you realize.
At most. I bet it’ll be using the Grand Cherokee driveline or something very similar.
People don’t realise how hard that design is being pushed at 707. It’s going to need serious internal upgrades to make more power under warranty.
Their customer base is not interested. Have you seen their ads?
I sure hope they upgraded the connecting rod bolts. Warranty birdies tell me things.
Some great angles in here. I change my wallpaper based on which OEM I’m visiting that day. It’s nice to keep it current, people notice little things like that.
I took a girl out in my W115 Mercedes Diesel. Waxed the hell out if it, the car was super clean. Her only comments were “It’s slow” and “Does it normally sound like that”.
Girls are not into 40 year old German diesel, who knew?
‘79 seals back fine and 2017 manically NVH driven seals back fine are very different things.
It’s a great system for time time period. It was not worth enginerring a brand new state of the art ECU when you can modify an existing proven design, such is the German way. I’ve owned several. They are not problematic engines. They’ll leak like anything but they’re not the disaster people make them out to be.
Which…
No, that means it made more power than advertised from the factory. Drivetrain losses are going to remain nearly identical across the life of a vehicle.
By definition the Ducati Multistrada 950 is excess.
Have you actually had a chance to study both in person?
Direct injection gives you much better anti lag control. It’s still not kind to the turbo but with modern diesel inspired materials they’ll survive longer than you realize.
